List the name of the athlete and what city he is from.  The professional athletes need to be currently active in their sport.

I was born in Euclid, Ohio so Tony Fisher (Packers), and  London Fletcher (Bills).

I go to school in Findlay, Ohio so Ben Rothlisberger (Steelers).

Cleveland:  ?? this would take a while to think of all of the pro athletes.

I'll go another route and list the current pro athletes from my high school (St. Ignatius):

Chris Hovan Tampa Bay Bucs

LeCharles Bentley NO Saints

Jacob Bell TN Titans

Tom Arth Indianapolis Colts

Dave Ragone Houston Texans

Mata Kata  Arizona Diamondbacks

+several others are at the minor league level

Not professional, but..

Tim Mack  Pole Vault Gold metal winner 2004 Olympics and current Olympic record holder

Some from Dayton who are current were Roger Clemons, Peerless Price, Dan Wilkinson, and Mike Nugent.

Roger Clemens from the Astros?  I have never heard that, I thought he was from Texas.

Zanesville....

Michelle Redman LPGA

Tami Green LPGA (Actually Somerset, but we claim her)

Kevin Martin NBA (Sacramento)

Jay Payton MLB (Padres....Formerly of the World Series Mets, and Red Sox)

I'm sure I messed up some spellings!!

Roger Clemens from the Astros?  I have never heard that, I thought he was from Texas.

He was born in Dayton, then his family (mom) took to Texas.

I went to HS with Ben Curtis (his parents live near Ostander).  I was 2 years ahead of him.

Well, since Poker is always on ESPN it must be a sport, and there's this one guy that I saw the other night that the announcer said was from Aurora, Ohio.  Jim Thome still maintains his home here as well, saw him in town Christmas Eve doing some last minute shopping.  He's not from here as in born raised etc but it says something that he hasn't just left entirely (yet).  They're maybe not professional technically but somebody should pay the Godale brothers (Mark, and John) for all the distance running races they compete in.  They do "mega marathons" as in 100 mile races.

for me, the only one i know of is mark coleman, from the ultimate fighting championship

  • 4 weeks later...

None that I can think of from my immediate city; but 15 miles away in Willard, Ohio is where Cleveland Browns' quarterback Charlie Frey is from!

Oops... I forgot abour Mike Vrabel for the New England Patriots.

Way too man to list for Cincy.
