Friday, May 7 at 8:30am the Transit Improvement Advisory Committee (TIAC; a subcommittee of the RTA Citizens Advisory Board) will host a dialogue with Joel Freilich, Director of Service Planning @ GCRTA. The dialogue will focus on scheduling and ticketing (fare media) inconsistencies that reduce system wide ease of use.  Please plan to attend.  Meetings last 90 minutes and take place in Mtg Room 1 inside RTA Main Office @ 1240 W. 6th St. (Warehouse District).

These dialogues represent a new approach for the TIAC.  Our first attempt at staging a dialogue, which went well, took place at our April 2 meeting which featured Joseph Shaffer, Director - Engineering & Project Development @ GCRTA.  Minutes from that meeting can be found here>  http://rtatiac.wordpress.com/2010/04/30/april-2-tiac-meeting-minutes/

For this particular mtg, We were successful in attracting attendees who had a stake in at least one of the capital projects that Mr. Shaffer spoke on (STJ Transit Center, Puritas Red Line, E.55 RedLine).  Such attendance was greatly appreciated as these folks were able to provide informed perspectives and questions.

Question/suggestion

[*]Might want to add "Cleveland RTA" to the title so people know what/where this is.

[*]Why isn't this just in the general RTA thread?  Does it warrant it's own thread and potentially cause dual postings?  Just a thought.

[*]May want to add to the UO calendar.

@ MyTwoSense:

1. Good idea, I'll change it.

2. It is posted in the general RTA Thread, but I wanted to post it on the calendar as well to reach a more general audience.  When I added it to the calendar, the system automatically created this thread.

3. See #2

D@amnit, why are all these things always during working hours?!?  You could get more input with an evening meeting.

@ DoctaBroccoli:

It is true that the meeting time is not the MOST convenient, but it is hard to fit into everyone's schedule all the time.    We are always looking at improvements to the process,  Baby steps....

That said, if you have a comment/question re: scheduling/ticket vending, let me know here or via PM and I will do my best to get you a response.

I would love to be on the RTA citizen's advisory board, but all the meetings are during the day!  Gah!  I don't know if I have a specific comment/question right now, I'd just be interested in hearing and participating in the dialogue at the meeting.

Cool.

I'd love to attend but that really is an impossible time slot.  I have a feeling, though, that whoever does show up will make the same points I would have.
