Posted December 22, 200519 yr To all of you ultra-knowledgeable housing stock people... can someone please post a set of pictures of different houses, each a unique style... Italionette, Victorian, Federal, Queen Anne, etc... and label them. Maybe even include some of the distinguishing characteristics of that style of architecture. I get so lost trying to distinguish the styles and haven't been able to find a place where it is neatly explained and demonstrated. Your effort will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
December 22, 200519 yr i second this. I know some things and can distinguish some styles but am nowhere near an expert on this. Some pictures, etc would be awesome and very helpful.
December 22, 200519 yr This link is a reasonable primer for the house styles http://architecture.about.com/library/bl-styles_index.htm , it however lacks in pictures.

October 12, 200915 yr Am I having fun yet?? Yes sir I am...Since joining the site a few hours ago I have been labeled as angry and mad. Not to worry ppl I am neither. The name of the post was ((Pet Peeves)) I jumped right in and I should have introduced myself there. My fault ...my name is Carole and it's very nice to meet you all. I originally joined because I saw something about Burnet Avenue that I thought was one sided. That street has been cleaned up quite a bit. Since I work and grew up along those neighborhoods...I had something to say and Of course in order to be heard I was asked to join. Thank you for your time and attention. I look forward to all UO has to offer. Carole
