53 views of Queen City Square

On May 7, 2010, I was given access to photograph Queen City Square in Cincinnati, Ohio from the bottom to the very top. Despite a favorable, sunny day, strong winds resulted in the sole exterior elevator being put out of commission for the day. That did deter me from photographing the hulking beauty that is the tallest structure in the Queen City. More photographs, of the top, will come upon the next sunny day. Enjoy these 53 views of Queen City Square!

The tour of the ten floors of Queen City Square that were accessed has concluded with a final image of the 4th Street landing.

I hope you enjoy these photographic updates to Queen City Square, one of the favorite skyscrapers that's being erected right now. Be sure to stay tuned for even more in the coming weeks!

Great photos Sherman.  It was fun to go up there even if we couldn't go all the way to the top due to high winds.  I'm hoping to have my photos edited this weekend sometime.

Yeah, I told you I was gonna hold off but I just couldn't wait any longer :P I really want to go back up to the top, but this damn week has been rainy or windy.

If/When either of you get to the top, if you don't mind, ask where the beams are that the Construction Team and Great American employees signed. Photos if possible!

Great work Sherman.  I always loves me some construction photos.

It sure looks like the construction is moving along quickly on the exterior.  Although the interior finishing of such a large-scale building will take some time to complete.  I only infrequently read the QCS construction thread, so I don't know the answer to this question.  What is the current estimate for the completion of the building? (i.e. occupancy)

Tenants will be responsible for the build out their spaces.

I understand the concept of tenant shell space, Randy.  I simply wondered what the completion date of the building was.  Do you know?

Wow, I need new pants! Thanks Sherman for these awesome shots/updates! Sweet!

Also the completion date and opening is scheduled for First Quarter 2011(Great American Insurance). With full occupancy in 2012!

Queen City Square’s Class A+ office space is currently over 80% leased.

Great photos Sherman.

thanks for these Sherman.

hehe....touchy.

Yes, as Dirty Sandpit mentioned, the projected completion date is 1Q 2011.  But since tenants will be building out their spaces as they desire, the occupancy will be more of a rolling date.

BTW, not all office projects require tenants to build out their spaces.  Some projects will white box the space, others will build it to spec, while some do this and let the tenants work it out.  With that said, the building contractors expect many of the tenants to select them to do their build outs.

Awesome shots, Sherman.

  great pics..thanks!!!

thanks for the great pictures!

What did you tell them to let you take photographs of this site? I understand if you don't want to tell me, but wow, you got a tour and up close! Awesome! You must have some great connections.

Great, great shots of a beautiful building!!! Thanks!

It's turned out about as well as one could have hoped. Very nice.

The more and more this comes to completion the more and more I like it. Love the lines and blue-grey. DS, the one that looks like a rendering is bad-ass. You caught the light perfectly!

yeah it is very clean and sharp. also impressive in height like it really belongs in a downtown and not out on the outer loop somewhere.

Deco-licious!

Yeah I'm surpised it turned out so well. I love that photo!
