I got the idea to make a day trip to Homer a few other towns because recently a fire destroyed a Homer landmark.

*Population of 1,851 (2000 Census)

*Originally called Barneyville, named after its settler Milton Barney in 1832.

*Homer is part of the Battle Creek Metro Statistical Area.

Some info on the mill building.

*16,000 square-feet

*Built in the 1880s

*Used as a mill until 1970 and shortly afterwards became a dinner theater.

*Since 2006 used as a haunted house with a restaurant and bar.

Present pictures of whats left of the mill.
