If this has been posted, please excuse....

It's very cool.  Really gives the sense of why it was nicknamed "the Forest City".

Awesome video E.C. Thanks for posting it.

Yeah, I posed that a while back but nothing wrong bringing it up again!

Very nice.  I do wish there were a few more shots of U. Circle and some of the Heights and the Gold Coast.  Still interesting, though.

Very nice.  Some good shots of dowtown Canton in the video.  Canton looks like a decent sized town from the air.

Woot, Canton Ohio.  I think the population is right around 78,000.  I enjoy our downtown, the first friday events are always a good time.

Just like Cleveland, downtown Canton is a shell of it's former self.  While the city is not growing the downtown core has really improved over the last decade.

This shot is interesting (to me at least).  The building I circled is one of Canton's very early Mansions, former home to the Timken family.  Mercy hospital was originally located in downtown Canton until the Timken mansion was donated to the sisters of mercy.  The stables restaurant located nearby is the former Timken family's horse stables and the original gatehouse still sits in stadium park behind the hospital.

The house has been altered for use as a hospital, a third story was added that wiped away the original roof.  The swimming pool is still there, drained and filled with pews.  The ornate original tile still lines the walls.

Here are a few old shots of the old home and early hospital facilities.  These photos were found at the Timken Mercy website:

The Canton Garden Club can be seen in the upper left of this photo.  It also still stands and is the site of Canton's Kennedy memorial.
