Posted June 19, 201014 yr Here is a display of some of Cleveland's most hidden gems. They just happen to be in banks;) Enjoy!! Society of Savers National City (which it will always be!) yea its really easy to get in here at night. The cleaning staff really doesn't care! Here's my friend from Barcelona... Hunington Bank:
June 19, 201014 yr Lawd, white folks robbing a bank under the guise of being tourist/urban bloggers. How much did you get?? ;) :police: Nice pics. Huntington Bank is a gem.

June 19, 201014 yr Love'em! Each is quite different from the others, despite some similarities. Thanks for posting these!
June 19, 201014 yr Very nice photos. I am concerned about the future of the Hunting Bank Building once they vacate... Will this fall into the same fate as the Trust Rotunda has so far across the street?
June 19, 201014 yr Very nice photos. I am concerned about the future of the Hunting Bank Building once they vacate... Will this fall into the same fate as the Trust Rotunda has so far across the street? I really hope it to turns into a massive condo conversation... I am pretty confident that the area between east 9th and east 12th is going to explode soon. It is however a little concerning about the scale of the building. It would take a lot to finance it.
June 19, 201014 yr That is pretty cool, all the big banks in Cincinnati moved their flagship to newer buildings in the 1970's 80's. The US bank building in St. Louis has a cool old building. Has anyone been there.
June 19, 201014 yr Great pics! Do you have any of the Cleveland Fed's banking lobby? I agree about the condo conversion, although it's already a mixed-use building, so it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to add some ground floor retail à la 668.
June 19, 201014 yr Beautiful hidden gems! Thanks for sharing! I really love the inside of the National City building. The structure is simply breathtaking :)
June 20, 201014 yr My favorite view is to stand at the "crotch" of the L-shaped atrium in the Huntington Building. It gives a much better feel for how large that thing is. Even a well-traveled friend of mine from Chicago was pretty awestruck by it. The airship/blimp station on the top floor of the building is another great space to visit in Cleveland. It's too bad they don't offer regular tours of the Cleveland Trust rotunda like they do of the Detroit-Superior subway deck. All of these should opened to the public regularly so we don't forget about them. June 20, 201014 yr Great pics! I'd love to photograph some of the bank lobbies I've seen, but they usually frown on that kind of thing.
June 20, 201014 yr Society for savings was my first bank when I got my first "real" job downtown at age 15.5. impressive then, impressive now.

I though that the Superior bldgs was available on Playhouse Square neighborhood tour..
June 20, 201014 yr There are great! I'm not aware of any such banks in Cincinnati...very cool for Cleveland to have these.

Sammy's at the Metropolitan is a restaurant occupying the top floor of the Huntington Building - only open for lunch, but the views are great: http://www.sammys.com/metropolitan.shtml clevelandskyscrapers.com Cleveland Skyscrapers on Instagram
