July 1, 201014 yr Nice! Hope you enjoyed the neighborhood! As much as I like the streetscaping, I hate the bumpouts on such a narrow street. People tend to park in the bumpout area, so I tend to just drive on the sidewalk as a result.
July 1, 201014 yr Nice shots! What were your impressions with Cincinnati as a first time visitor? I thought that the city was amazing! The architecture was outstanding, the people were friendly, and the places I visited were exciting (with new development and activity). The only downside being the absence of some sort of rail (heavy or light) system in the city, but I understand that the city is working on a streetcar line, so that will change.
July 1, 201014 yr I wondered the same thing about the bump out, I can't believe the City let them do that. Awesome shots!

July 2, 201014 yr This may help you understand the neighborhood situation. CUF is one neighborhood, with thee sub-neighborhoods: Clifton Heights, University Heights and Fairview. Clifton is a totally different neighborhood, as is the Heights (which is where the university is actually located). Corryville is just east of the university (West Campus), and is not labeled on this map. Lots of people (including the local news) will lump all these neighborhoods under the tag "Clifton", but it's incorrect, and creates a scenario where a lot of people make false associations (including suburbanites thinking any crime happening in Corryville is going on in Clifton, because of the sloppy way local news agencies speak). Few other neighborhoods' boundaries are abused in such a way, and none are "stretched" so amazingly far from their true position. (Sometimes Pendleton disappears under the "OTR" moniker, in a similar way to CUF/Heights/Corryville under "Clifton", for example, but Pendleton is tiny and shares a lot with OTR, including a street grid.) I got the map from Wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CUF,_Cincinnati
July 4, 201014 yr nat - Thanks for all the information. Cleveland has a similar situation with local media lumping the entire east side into one category leading a lot of people to believe that the entire east side is dangerous, including the relatively safe neighborhoods of Little Italy, University Circle, and Shaker Square.
