Posted July 2, 201014 yr A friend of mine is moving back to the Cleveland area to attend Case. He's not to familiar with the area so we're going to walk around later tonight so he can get acquainted with it. I'm ok with navigating the area, but I've never paid attention to locations to eat (that aren't Sergio's, l'albatross, etc). I know Little Italy is right up the hill and Coventry is just a bit farther up the road. My question is do any of you have a recommendation of a place to grab a bite around Case?

July 2, 201014 yr The corner of Euclid and Mayfield has a few options- Uptown Grille, Rascal House Pizza, Qdoba, and Falafel Café across the street. Farther down Euclid (at like E. 116,) there's Indian Flame, Mi Pueblo, and the Euclid Tavern. Murray Hill Rd. (technically Little Italy, but closer to Case than some of the others I mentioned) has a Tea House Noodles. If you walk to Little Italy, there are a lot more choices. Depending on how much you want to spend, you could check out Presti's, Trattoria, Mama Santa's (a classic!) etc. Most of the restaurants are on Mayfield, so I'm sure you'll find something if you just walk up and down the street.

Thank you. Lots of good places there. I forgot about all the stuff to the east of the euclid/mayfield intersection.
July 6, 201014 yr the cedar fairmount area close to the south side dorms has some dining establishments also (aladdins, mad greek...)
July 6, 201014 yr At Cedar/Lee, they have a decent Thai restaurant, Lemon Grass. Not too bad and it's closer to Case than Tai Fun Bistro in Tremont.

July 6, 201014 yr Definitely take a walk through Little Italy to Coventry! I used to walk it every day and I love taking people around this way. The Mint Cafe is my favorite "classy" spot, but there's Pacific East, Tree Country Bistro, Hunan, and the bars for the pub food. I've never really considered Cedar/Lee to be within walking distance unless I'm in a bind or drunk, but Brennan's Colony has really stepped up their food quality and The Tavern Co. has always been a favorite of mine although it recently changed hands.
