Posted July 4, 201014 yr I went on the subway tour with my wife and then had lunch on East 4th Street earlier today. I decided to post some of the pictures I took. Unfortunately, I have a cheap camera and know nothing about photography, so some of the pictures in the tunnel didn't turn out so well. It's not exactly a Mayday thread! Alright, enough shots in the tunnel. It's time to head across the bridge! When we finally made it Downtown we found a couple of nice views. Thanks for taking a walk with us! We had to get home, but here's one more shot from where our car was parked. Hopefully someone else with better photography skills went and took some better pictures. If not, then these should do the trick!
July 4, 201014 yr Some decent shots, though. I've been fascinated by the Detroit-Superior High-Level Viaduct since I first drove across it in 1978; it's a magnificent piece of engineering and construction, and I think it's great that the County Engineer opens up the lower deck to the public a couple of times a year.
July 5, 201014 yr I think you did a great job - thanks for posting! :-) clevelandskyscrapers.com Cleveland Skyscrapers on Instagram
July 6, 201014 yr I love those shots of the warehouses. I think the Warehouse District is a really cool area of Cleveland- I'd love to see more pics of it!
July 6, 201014 yr Thanks for the pics. I hope you picked up a newsletter from the All Aboard Ohio table! "In the souls of the people the grapes of wrath are filling and growing heavy, growing heavy for the vintage." -- John Steinbeck
July 6, 201014 yr Thanks, guys. KJP-I did pick one up, but I think I set it down and left it when I had lunch because I can't find it now! Is there an online version?
July 20, 201014 yr Well, unless there is a more appropriate thread, what are some brainstorming ideas for the subway station. An "underground" music venue for up and coming artists sponsored by the rock hall? Underground gallery for up and coming artists sponsored by MOCA/CMA? Any ideas?
July 20, 201014 yr Ingenuity is being held in the subway level this year. I bet there will be some thought-provoking uses/ideas from them.
