July 8, 201014 yr Hey I was there this past weekend! I watched the fireworks on the 4th of July off the USS Yorktown in the harbor. The Battery is just stunning....and of course the rest of Downtown. It's honestly my favorite city south of DC. NOTE: the green sign on the first building reads "Daughters of the Confederacy," and is the entrance to a very cool marketplace. There is still a very strong civil war/confederate pride down there, altought during the 4th, there was a lot of celebrating it's colonial days and role in America's Independence.
