I think this is a good representation of stereotypical Ohio.

That last shot makes me imagine the Columbus skyline filled in from side to side.

Your best thread ever.

What's the State Fair without the Butter Cow?  Love it! Looks like they have done some work on the Rabbit and North Ag buildings as well.

This brings back some memories!  Looks like there's actual some nice architecture at the Ohio State Fairgrounds that I hadn't noticed/been aware of when I used to go.  No shots of the Midway?

This is a lot bigger than I thought it was with the skywalk and everything.

But where are all the cows and chickens?

State Fair-goers seem to have lost some weight.

I have never had any desire to go to a county or state fair.  About the closest thing I'll do to a fair is a Catholic school festival, and even those I rarely go to.

Generally the State Fair is a 'billy fest with some has-been bands, but it can also be a fun nostalgic slice of Americana.  Going there as a college student was fun, but Catholic School festivals are way more fun for a number of reasons.

We don't have nearly as many Catholic festivals in Columbus.

Kinda like how Cincinnatians come up to Columbus and expect to be able to get pony kegs everywhere.

;)

Nice. Looks like a pretty good fairgrounds.

this is great, its festival season and we dont ever get enough festivals on uo - hint hint people!
