Posted August 29, 201014 yr Couldn't have asked for better weather on Saturday... Some appropriately happy music - "Sense" by the Lightning Seeds :-) The view I see so much, the view I never tire of :-) The view that will change to some degree when the new Innerbelt bridge is constructed: The view that hasn't changed for a long time, and half of me says I'm okay with that, the other half wants to see a "big 4" instead of "big 3": Holy parking garage! C'mon, what else can you say about it? Someone on the forum mentioned they didn't care for Key Tower and how it overpowered Terminal Tower; I dunno, I think Terminal Tower holds her own just fine :-) I think I have an eye for detail, but somehow I never noticed the floral ornamentation below the clockdial on the West Side Market clock tower: Alright, enough siteseeing, time for lunch at the Harp - on the patio, of course! Lots of boats out on the Lake: I hope these people appreciate the views they have: Yeah, this lakefront ain't just for tourists! One of the most beautiful color combos - black and gold (Guinness and Great Lakes Dortmunder Gold): I remember passing my drivers test in a 1970 Duster, I can only imagine steering one of those ore freighters under the lift bridge! Serene park in the foreground, big mammoth freighter in the background: Like I said, nice views! Okay so there are a few moments where it's just nice and pretty: And some where it's just a moment: Alright, over we "go go" to Whiskey Island and Wendy Park: The Goodtime III doing its thing: Goodtime and a good chunk of change spent on the boat on the right! Yeah, like they say "Cleveland, ya gotta be tough!" and they might as well start young: The armada waiting for the lift bridge to lift: Off they go! Congrats and best wishes! Just some shots to show why this is one of my favorite spots in town: Apparently I'm not the only one: After the United/Continental merger, this is how we'll be getting out and about ;-) Who knows, maybe we have some future UrbanOhio geeks in the making? :-D Hope you enjoyed :-) clevelandskyscrapers.com Cleveland Skyscrapers on Instagram
August 29, 201014 yr Damn, MayDay you make Cleveland look good. Love the iron curtain bridge framed pictures at Wendy Park. As the flats east bank project is completed this is going to rival Edgewater Park as a photo spot.
August 30, 201014 yr wonderful yet at the same time makes me anxious for the east bank flats to get going already so we have something new to gawk over.

August 30, 201014 yr Great set! That's gotta be a close up of a black & tan. Also, that is one of the biggest "No Smoking" signs ever.
August 31, 201014 yr I thought black and tan, but didnt think Mayday drank those (although I guess it doesnt have to be Maydays) It seeemed to be a black feather duster that the bride is holding.
August 31, 201014 yr It was a black and gold (Guinness and Dortmunder Gold) and yes, it was mine :-) I wasn't quite sure if the "bride/groom" was an actual bride and groom or some artsy photoshoot going on but figured it made for a good shot so why not. "Damn, MayDay you make Cleveland look good." I think Cleveland looks good on its own if you know how and where to look ;-) clevelandskyscrapers.com Cleveland Skyscrapers on Instagram
