  • Have seen a couple of cars go through, so it indeed appears we finally have a working bridge. 🔥🔥🔥   EDIT: Here’s evidence of cars/truck using the bridge. It’s funny to see them all go slowly

I came across this document recently and I don't think I've seen it posted here before. It at least appears to be from the Vision For The Valley people, and it looks like a fever dream of some of the posters here. Based on this image, I wouldn't be surprised if some of them are lurking (or posting) on this forum.

Lots of ideas I like in here, a few I'd do differently, and a few are very cool but unfortunately probably infeasible or just very unlikely. That's how it goes though. Anyway, thought it was cool, and figured I'd share it.

I can't see the entire article, but that's frustrating.

I got you:

Basically, 1720-1736 Columbus Road, owned by Realife Real Estate Group of Independence -- bidding started at $450k and ended at $2.075m, but did not reach the reserve price set for the auction.  That reserve price was not disclosed.

With the Globe Iron venue opening this Friday, does anyone have any construction/post-construction photos of the place? I feel like it wasn't long ago this was getting approved by planning commission - seems like they moved extremely quick

I will be there to see my buddies band open it up! I'll get some pics for sure

Started off my day grumpy, but couldn't believe that this article only had architectural renderings. Like, it opens in a day give us actual photos!

I was so close to taking photos of it the other day and didn't. Looks good in person, I can say that much.

I'm going to keep an eye on their calendar. It's going to be interesting to see the artists that they get scheduled for the Globe Iron!!

Tennis in the Land gains Verizon as top partner; ticket sales outpacing 2024

Unknown-1_1.webp

  • Last year’s tournament featured near-sellouts for the last three sessions (quarterfinals through finals) and saw record concessions and merchandise sales over the same stretch.

  • Tickets for this year’s tournament went on sale on April 8 and sales are outpacing last year in “basically every metric,” Ross said. The hospitality sections on the baselines are nearly sold out.

Sounds like we need to start investing in a larger-profile tournament (with frankly a better name, how about Cleveland Open) 🤔

Couldn't agree more, tennis in land makes me curl into a ball.

Cleveland Open is a perfect choice how can we make this happen?

Idk, start @ing the organizers on social media or something is all I can think of haha

Looks good. I’m there a week tomorrow to see Melvins and Napalm Death.

As far as the venue layout goes, it’s pretty much the Beachland, but twice the size.

I hate the fact that it’s owned by Live Nation and is going to take gigs away from the independent venues, but I’ve got say I’ve seen ND dozens of times over the last 35 years in a great many different venues, of all sizes, across Europe and the US and I have never heard them sound as good as they did tonight. The PA is absolutely first-rate.

It's not Live Nation. It's AEG.

Wow, they've cleared out that deck. The back bar and stage are gone!!

Have there been any renderings of their plans for the building or outside deck area??
