October 11, 201014 yr Never been to Toronto. It seems lively and bustling, but doesn't have the same charm of Montreal.
October 11, 201014 yr Toronto has a different type of charm. If Montreal is faux-French, Toronto is faux-Midwest. "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
October 11, 201014 yr Beautiful City.... they just need to start working on getting those unsightly power lines underground or something.
October 12, 201014 yr Canada requires a passport now to travel by car right? Yes. "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
October 12, 201014 yr I have been there twice, but so long ago that I really don't remember it. I guess I'll have to get a passport soon. Great photos!
October 12, 201014 yr Nice aerials. What's all that collapsing action at city hall. Wait let me reword this. Why is sh!t always falling down around city hall.
October 12, 201014 yr LOL! It's Toronto. It's a part of their heritage. "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
October 12, 201014 yr Canada requires a passport now to travel by car right? Yes. actually, you can get a less expensive state-issued ID card permitting travel to Canada, the Caribbean and Mexico (I think that's all it covers, and it's only for land and sea travel, not air) in lieu of a passport. http://www.mainstreetpainesville.org/
October 14, 201014 yr I don't understand why, but Toronto just bores me. Great shots of the street-life though. When I was there, Yonge St North of Dundas was a little American Pigalle. Looks like it still might be.
October 14, 201014 yr Wonderful, lively, colorful photos! I haven't been there since 1975. Clearly, it has changed tremendously since then. My recollections were of friendliness and hospitality and excellent public transport. I rode there on my motorcycle, and only took it out of the hotel parking lot once during my week-long stay, to visit the only place on my itinerary that I figured I couldn't reach by bus, trolley, or subway, a gallery of Indian and Eskimo art in Kleinburg, about 25 miles distant. Upon arriving in Kleinburg, the second vehicle I encountered on the main street was a TTC bus. The zoo and the Ontario Science Center were among my favorite attractions. The former was beautiful and spacious and well-kept, and the latter was loaded with nerd appeal, without being so nerdy as to turn off non-nerds. Yonge Street seemed to run 24 hours with an alternative economy and culture taking over at night, and I felt safe anywhere I wanted to go.
October 14, 201014 yr Awesome stuff. The city government would be smart to license these pictures from you.

Looks like it still might be. I like Toronto but it saddens me that the CSA is about that of Chicago but if you're in the heart of Toronto it feels more like the size of Detroit. If everything were more condensed, it would feel more like the global city that it is.
December 7, 201014 yr Strange, I haven't visited that city in 4 years, and amazing, I still don't miss it.
December 17, 201014 yr Amazing city ... Seems to do everything right and amazing photos ... love the "bravo" one. Clever, especially for you, CDM.
December 17, 201014 yr Toronto is kinda weird for being so close to the USA. Look at all the hot chicks in Toronto! Too bad most of them are lesbians :(

December 18, 201014 yr Ewww.. Did you really have to take it there? You're bringing back some very bad, supressed memories of videos from 9th grade Health class. Didn't you say you hang out in Chelsea bars?! You're in no position to call me Mr. Chlamydia!
