I just checked through my files and I can't believe I don't have pictures of Strasburg. I grew up a few miles away and I recall going to Garver Bros. when it was still open as a general store. Later, in the 80s, I used to go there when my aunt and uncle sold things at the flea market. It was a beautiful building in need of some TLC, and it had a lot of potential. I was upset last week to learn it was destroyed by arson. The story in my hometown paper, the Times-Reporter, noted that the origianl Garver Bros. store was destroyed by fire in 1901, but was replaced in 1902 by the building that burned last week.
