Well?

Personally, I never sleep dirty.  I think the concept of morning showers is pointless.  Take a night shower, wash your damn face in the morning, brush your damn teeth, smell nice, and bounce!

I hate hate hate leaving the house dirty in the morning.

But when you take a shower at night, and presumably your bed is already clean, go straight to bed, and wash up a little in the morning, how would you leave the house "dirty?"

My hair looks dirty in the morning if I shower at night. That is why I am forced to shower in the morning. And I am definitely not a morning person. I would prefer to shower at night

I shower in the morning.  I CAN NOT stand to go without a shower after I wake up.

Hm, yeah I guess I should have said that I've grown psychologically dependent on showering in the morning in order to feel ready for the day.  That and having white guy hair.

That's disgusting ... do you know how many dust mites you're sleeping with every night? Thousands bro!

I know, because I'm allergic to them which is why I get sinus infections all year round.

I shower on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

I don't know about YOUR bed but MY bed is dust mite-free, thanks.  And how can you people sleep dirty?!?!  How do you live with yourselves!??!

I do it in the morning. Showers help wake me up and I have to be in there in the morning anyway to shave and brush my teeth, etc., so I'd rather get it all done at once. How often? Once a day but even that causes my face to get really dry in cold weather like right now. I hate that. That's why I use face moisturizer.

This is probably a dumb question but how often are you supposed to wash your hair? I've been doing it every day. It's just a habit, it's part of my daily program. I'm kind of OCD in that way. Aren't you supposed to only shampoo/condition every other day because it dries your hair out easily? I just feel more clean if I do that every day.

The hell it is ... Dust and mites and fried chicken wang crumbs all over the place.

Yeah, dust mites are inevitable. Taking showers isn't going to save you from them though. I heard you're not supposed to own a mattress longer than 8 years because of them.

I think it depends on what kind of hair you have.  I have fine hair and it gets greasy if I don't wash it everyday.

I usually take a show in the evening as soon as I get in and then one again in the morning.

I take a morning shower. Anything else is incorrect. ;-)

I need it to wake up in the morning. Plus, I have to shave in the shower. My skin is very sensitive, and if I try to shave in the sink I tear my skin up. I need the steam from the shower to open the pores up.

You probably need to use a moisturizer at night and a scrub in the morning before showering.

Usually twice a day. Everyday in the morning (except on Sunday, I take the sabbath off to bask God's glorius BO JK) and then after I workout, usually at lunch, but sometime in the evening. One of my main reasons for showering in the morning is that I will sweat at night due to being ultra cozy under our bedspread,  down comforter, and flannel sheets with the ceiling fan on...

trust me, I've tried everything. I don't do well with most moisturizers. My face breaks out from most of them. The only thing I seem to react well to is Kiehls. I do use a scrub pre shave, and that does make a difference.  I prefer shaving in the shower anyway. I get a closer shave.

I usually shower twice a day, because I go to the gym every day.  And I wash my hair every day, because it looks greasy otherwise.

The less often you wash your hair, the less greasy it will get. Your hair starts to get "hooked" on the chemicals in shampoo and it takes about 2-3 weeks to break it of that cycle, which most people are not willing to go through.  My hairdresser told me to stop washing my hair every day years ago, and I've never looked back. My girlfriend's HD told her the same thing last year and she asked me about it. It took her a month to "fix" her hair - she only washed it once a week during that time and it looked really bad a lot of the time - lots of headbands and ponytails during that time, and now it's fixed.

I usually wash my hair once a week unless I work out.  It's extremely healthy, I always get remarks about the good condition of my hair when I visit a new hairdresser.

These days, daily in the morning before work...or before going somewhere on the weekends.

In college I will admit in the summer jumping in the lake with a bar of soap a couple times a week was sufficient for me ;)

Yeah, I still don't think I could do that with getting sweaty at the gym every day.....

If I'm hitting up the club, I take two showers and then doused myself in Axe body spray.

Just curious what you are using for a razor. The newest Gillette is awesome, hands down the best shave I have ever have and they last forever if you take care of them . I used to try to shave in the shower too, because my neckline is uber sensitive and prone to nasty razor burn and in grown hairs. But regardless of the mirror I used I always eneded up missing a little piece and that drove me crazy. Since I have started using the new one I have been able to shave at the sink after a shower with no breakout as long as I don't go over 3 days and let the hairs get too long. My beard doesn't grow super fast and I find that if I shave after about a day and a half, I can get a super duper close shave, almost no "shadow".

*cough, cough*  Your Axe is choking me..... seriously.

OMG hate Axe with an axe-wielding passion.

If I work out, I have to wash it after, but I sure as hell don't go to the gym every day anymore.

AXE in it's self is not evil, but since it's an aerosol is just a more convenient way for teenage boys, guidos and D-bags to do what they have been doing for years. Wearing enough cologne to wilt house plants and make my eyes water.

We have a new graduate student in the department from the middle east, and either he doesn't shower that much, or he does and just wears BUCKETS of cologne anyway.  He leaves a cologne trail for AT LEAST five minutes everywhere he goes.

I use a Mach 3 to shave with. It does a good job, and they do last a long time. Haven't had any real problems with shaving since I switched to that and started using it in the shower....other than occassionally shaving off my eyebrows that is.

I am thinking of growing out some mutton chops, though. Anyone have any tips?

Oh, and as to cologne...two words. Drakkar Noir. Women will want to be with you, men will want to be you, and you will be a god. At least until you leave the bathroom.

Wtf? My hair is getting addicted to apricot seeds, avocado and shea oil? I don't buy it.  Stylists say all kinds of crazy stuff. When I used to get my hair cut shorter, you could easily see my cowlick which is in the front. She told me I could "train my hair" by styling it using gel or paste, to make that turf of hair grow in the same pattern from the root as the rest. It's total bs, you're not going to change the pattern your hair grows!

I'd rather deal with someone wearing too much cologne or axe than too much body odor!

I didn't know there was any other kind of razor! I shave my face in the shower too, but mostly for convenience. My old room mate said he brushes his teeth in the shower; that's a little strange to me.

^ Good God, I was wearing Drakkar Noir in high school in the 80's.  Isn't it time to move on?

NEVER!! It compliments my striped shirt. And everyone else compliments me!

Gillette Fusion ProGlide is where it's at. I used the Mach 3 forever too, and there is a huge difference. I am usually not one to buy into the hype, but I bought one when the promo was cheaper than the Mach 3, and now I am a believer.

There was a time in college that I brushed my teeth in the shower too. I am not really sure why...

There is no need for tips when you are that bad@$s. Just dont let them get to long and poof out

Totally agree - I accidentally bought Mach 3's last time at Marc's and they suck compared to the ProGlide's.  I gotta get to the store and get new blades before my face is shredded.

I shower every morning (sometimes not on Sunday), but I only shampoo once, maybe twice a week.

I started doing this after the Seinfeld episode when George noticed that homeless people were rarely bald

I give up on buying expensive cologne. It's pointless. People either think you're wearing too much of it or don't like the scent anyway. I paid like 80 bucks for Acqua Di Gio, never got complimented by women, then this guy gives me a used bottle of "Patrick Dempsey" cologne he didn't want. I liked the smell, I start wearing it and get complimented left and right! The sh!t was free! Everywhere I go...

>"Wow, what cologne is that!?!?"

" It's Patrick Dempsey, some guy I never heard of. Wasn't he like on General Hospital in the early '80s?"

>"PATRICK DEMPSEY HAS A COLOGNE!?"

"Yeah, you might want to check the clearance isle at AJ Wright lol..."

I checked reviews for it online and women love the scent so much they buy it for themselves even though it's a spicey cologne!

Is that my problem? I shampooed too much? and I have been blaming my parents all this time?

:)

As to what RnR was saying earlier, for years I did it every other day, and my hair at first would look worse on the "off" days, then about the same, then better on "off" days.

I also use Aveda control paste, its kind of like a moulding mud, I think it kind of works like a leave in conditioner.

Now, my hair looks all wierd when I actually shampoo, so this morning I did it, so I could look awesomely awesome for my weekend trip back to NOLA.

I paid like 80 bucks for Acqua Di Gio, never got complimented by women

That's what I use, but I get compliments on it often.  Most importantly, my wife absolutely loves the scent.

I think the problem with Acqua Di Gio is that everyone wears it.

I answered the poll already.  But since we're on the topic of cologne... today, a co-worker is wearing cologne that smells like bug spray.  They must have their colognes on rotation because, although they have been wearing cologne regularly, this is the first time I've noticed the "bug spray" scent.

I think the problem with Acqua Di Gio is that everyone wears it.

Everyone?  :wtf:

Obviously not everyone but it seems like the most common cologne. I could be wrong but ever since I bought that bottle of 'Gio a couple years ago I noticed tons of other people smelling just like me. People who did mention my cologne would just ask me if it's Acqua Di Gio. Clearly it's pretty common. Acqua Di Gio is a cult lol. It's the Axe body spray of cologne imo. Don't get me wrong, it does smell great. I just hate being like everyone else.
