The huge town of Omer had a population of 337 in the 2000 Census.  It is the self-proclaimed smallest town in Michigan.

Funny thing is it's one of those towns that about half the state Michigan can say "I've been there."  Located on US 23, most people will pass through on a vacation up north.  Pass through though...

The former Masonic Hall is a gorgeous old firetrap! I'm surprised (and glad) it has survived this long, especially considering that Omer had a major downtown fire.
