December 8, 201014 yr ^^^How do you have LMD and are *allegedly* 6'4? Outside of family, I hate being in a room/space with somone who is taller than me. I was in a meeting once and one of the attendees was a guy who is about 7'0" tall. I refused to sit down, so I could play the power position. I just kept walking around the table while talking about this project. I'm usually looking down at people and I hate having to look up at anyone.
December 8, 201014 yr I'm fairly certain you look down on everyone, whether they are taller than you or not.

December 8, 201014 yr I don't have cable, a digital TV, or converter box, and haven't watched television in three or four years. I have no clue when people make references to most popular entertainers, singers, or bands. Ditto for athletes, sports teams, sports venues, or bowl games. I've never shopped at TJ Maxx or Bloomingdales. Or Nordstrom or Macy's. I don't own a dishwasher or a garbage disposal or anything by Cuisinart or Krupp. My garage door doesn't have an opener. I drive a station wagon.
December 9, 201014 yr I'll only forgive you for that last one if it is the 'Sportwagon' from Family Vacation. Oh wait....... nevermind.
December 9, 201014 yr I have exactly one piece of new furniture in my house. Everything else is hand-me-down or just old. I probably don't know anyone with a Top 10 'hit' these days. I don't listen to commercial radio. I like McDonald's. I hate shopping for clothes. I wear just about the same thing every day to work. My car has had a broken fender for two years, and I proudly keep it on with duct tape. A child on the street once point that out to me. I still watch Saturday Night Live, even this sucky year. I don't eat out at Italian restaurants. I prefer to take notes with a pad of paper and a real pencil. Never owned a dishwasher. I almost never watch sports, and I certainly don't care about Ohio State/Michigan. Sacrilege in NW Ohio.

Except the Beatles part. They are amazing you just have to look past the hits. They have so many amazing songs and their style and look completely changed so many times in such a short period of time. John Lennon is a god lol. But everything else you said was good. Well not the pizza thing either lol
December 9, 201014 yr I dont like New York City. I personally believe Chicago is ten times a better city.
December 9, 201014 yr I have never burned a CD of music or downloaded a song from Napster, etc. My Blu-Ray disc player from last Christmas is still in the box in the cabinet under the TV. I couldn't pick any of the Kardashians out of a police lineup. It took me way too long to find out that Miley Cyrus and Hannah Montana are the same person. The last thing I bought from Apple was a IIc when I was still in high school. I think Chipotle and Qdoba are both crap. I don't get why anyone would cut a round pizza into rectangular pieces (yeah I'm talking about you, Donato's :P) I have no idea how to use a Wii, or why I would want one. (Even my nearly 90 year old aunt can Wii bowl) I have never bought or sold anything on Ebay. And the most appalling one for MayDay, I don't like Great Lakes Christmas Ale.
December 9, 201014 yr Who are you people!? No dishwashers, don't like chipotle, don't like Great Lakes Christmas Ale!?!?! Here's mine: I have an odd affinity for 80's/early 90's music and culture. I've never seen any of the Godfather movies. I've never ever attended a public school from pre-school to grad school. I judge people who use Colgate toothpaste (P&G father...) I really don't like this new trend of house/trance/techno music. I never cared for Conan O'Brien much. I love to drive and blast my music, especially in my dad's car. I, like ColDay, hate Indian food as well. The smell of curry makes me want to puke. Huge Bengals fan, but love the city of Pittsburgh and root for the Penguins, Pirates, and even the Steelers sometimes (like last week against the Ravens).
December 9, 201014 yr I judge people who use Colgate toothpaste (P&G father...) You are to be commended! Visited my daughter and found generic toilet paper! Grabbed the end and unwound it all the way down the stairs. When she said Charmin was too expensive, I screamed that Charmin is what paid for your education, and helped make you the person you are today!
December 9, 201014 yr It's pretty amazing how good their products are. I guess DanB does get something done at work :p Almost every one of their products stand out compared to the off-brand. I really miss getting free Mach III razors, Crest toothpaste, Tide and all the other random stuff. Hell they even threw in Pringles in that giant box of goodies. Dan, they send that stuf to the family for a long time, right? Is it possible to update your address with them? lol They sent my stepdad a really nice grandfather clock after he retired and I broke it in the move, after he died! I couldn't believe I did that. The back mirror, glass and everything just...shattered. I still feel bad about it.

When I was little, whenever I'd get pissed at my dad I would threaten to use non P&G products, like it would somehow hurt my dad's feelings. Oddly enough, it kind of did! He'd give me the _________ pays for your school/toys/clothes etc speech.
December 9, 201014 yr Well I already grossed you out on another thread by admitting I don't shower daily I don't really like any kind of music I've never seen an episode of Lost, 24, or CSI I have a facebook page, but haven't updated my status since July I hate talking to people on the phone, even people I know.

December 9, 201014 yr Ill come up with my own list, after consulting my priest and bartender, however, I know the words to a Katy Perry song. *shudders* there is no shame here. HER F'ING SONGS HAVE 7 WORDS, SHE JUST STRINGS THEM OUT CAL - IF - FOR - NI- A GIIIRLS ARE UN - DEN - NI - A - BLE
December 9, 201014 yr I too think the Beatles are overrated...Stones not so much once I started listen to the other tracks that don't get played on Classic Rock stations. I still have no idea what Justin Beiber actually sings, I am sure that I have heard his songs but I have probably thought it was a girl. Taco Bell is one of the main food groups. I don't like the Office, I get it but it really isn't funny. I have always hated playing video games. MTS, I would call that a power/control complex over a Napoleon Complex.
December 9, 201014 yr MTS, I would call that a power/control complex over a Napoleon Complex. Well Maybe you're right. There are some guys that I play volleyball (on opposing teams) that are taller than me and I usually try to take their heads off on my first attack. :|
December 9, 201014 yr Idea taken from ColumbusUnderground... The Beatles were overrated in my opinion and Kurt Cobain even more so. Hell, so was Elvis! spot on chappie -- i could not agree with you more! beatles n elvis, who cares?!! way overblown. and as for cobain, i dont have to tell you that the only reason that tool and the grunge thing became popular was because the rednecks at mtv propped them up so they could keep avoiding playing hiphop. hey anyone remember mtv? it used to be somebody heh.
December 9, 201014 yr I love Panera. *Gasp*, i know. Actually, I really like most fast food. *Bigger gasp* But I also like food from independent restaurants *Gets some respect restored* Really, I just like food. Period.
December 9, 201014 yr You have to look at the Beatles songs that were not hits. They were also writing geniuses. Elvis on the other hand is definitely overrated, and could hardly write music. And we all look the same for most of our lives while John Lennon looked different every 6 months

Huh? Did you miss the endless replay of the Dr. Dre 'Let it Ride' or Snoop's 'What's my Name'? Ice Cube, Public Enemy, Run DMC, there were plenty of hip-hop...more mainstream hip hop, but still. And as far as whether anyone who may not have liked Elvis or The Beatles or Kurt Cobain...that's not really relevant. Their influence on the music industry cannot be denied.

Their influence is unquestionable but as far as music, they are overrated. To be fair, Michael Jackson was overrated as well but I at least enjoy his music. The Beatles were brilliant song writers but I don't care for their melodies. Elvis was an Amos N' Andy for white folks. Kurt Cobain is an utter joke. December 9, 201014 yr Honestly the problem with Nirvana is they don't have enough of a recording library to make a true judgement. One indy lable album recorded in 12 hours or something like that, and 2 major label LPs, an MTV Unplugged session and a few odds and ends. I agree that Cobain is totally overrated based on his production. He did have quite an ear for melody and chord progressions but he hid alot of his technical failures in distortion. I would have loved to hear the music that he would have made once he learned to "play his instruments". Then we could have made a judgement. Right now his legacy is effectively killing Hair metal, honestly by the time Nirvana rolled on the scene had already turned into a parody of it's self. It was waiting to be killed off. Oddly enough very few of the big alt bands that followed Nirvana embraced the indy/punk music culture that Nirvana was built on. Pearl Jam's music is basically Hendrix/classic rock based and so were many of the other early 90's alternative bands.

December 9, 201014 yr I think the Beatles are overrated to those who weren't around during Beatlemania, and it's hard to describe their impact on the culture unless you lived through it (likewise, I don't really understand Elvismania, since I wasn't yet "of age" then). It wasn't so much that the Beatles had the most cutting edge sound, but they straddled the line between rock and a likable pop sound that made them "safe" to listen to (ie-parental approval--lol) for millions of adolescent and elementary school age kids (my demographic at the time); and they certainly left a legacy of the most memorable songs in popular music history since the American Songbook era of the 30's and 40's. The Rolling Stones, on the other hand, were considered sort of evil and outlaw-ish. As a matter of fact, if anyone was overrated in the past generation of music, it was Michael Jackson. While I don't deny his superior abilities as an entertainer, I still don't understand why he is considered such a genius (or is he?), apart from the fact that he had the right people in the industry backing him who were able to parlay his sound into a worldwide phenomenon combined with the development of the music video, the vehicle that really cataplulted him to fame. http://www.mainstreetpainesville.org/
December 9, 201014 yr I also believe Michael Jackson was overrated. And he grew a huge fan support after he died
December 9, 201014 yr I also believe Michael Jackson was overrated. And he grew a huge fan support after he died Grew? Man he is truly an internation entertainer. He had fans even if they would not admit it.
December 9, 201014 yr Michael Jackson was basically perfection for what he was. He could dance amazingly. He could sing really well. He made amazing music videos, which was a new thing. He was just chock full of talent like no one else could be. The Beatles changed the world. Especially music, but they were also a powerful cultural force. They didn't change anything drastically, save for music, but they definitely made an impact. They also performed the amazing feat of being simultaneously the most popular and most innovative artists around. That alone is amazing. Elvis was the Justin Bieber of the day. Nirvana...well, they definitely altered the rock landscape. They're significant, but overrated. I wouldn't say Kurt's legacy was killing hair metal, but if that were true I would hold him in higher regard. He did put a certain amount of testosterone back into the pop-rock scene, which new wave had sapped out and hair metal had turned into a self-parody. I think hair metal killed itself when everyone finally realized it should have been aborted in the womb.
December 9, 201014 yr ^ "Elvis was the Justin Bieber of the day" hahahahahahahahhhhahahahahahahahahaha
December 9, 201014 yr I'll give Elvis endless more credit than Justin Beiber as if there weren't an Elvis, there'd be no Beiber (or Beatles, really). Elvis introduced popular black music to white America which IS a huge cultural impact, certainly more in this country than the Beatles or Stones could've ever done. Musically I find him overrated but I will never deny his impact on the industry and culture in this country. Conversely, Michael Jackson's "genius" is that he took James Brown and Motown and brought it to the international scale first for African-Americans. There was no black artist that had ever sold out 50,000 person venues in Hamburg, Germany or Seoul, South Korea before Michael Jackson. He was an ambassador for popular music by a Black American. He popularized an existing form of music with a new audience, while being overrated as a writer, and performer. Yet you can't deny his popularity or longevity.
