Posted December 30, 201014 yr Did you feel it? Oy, so yeah, I woke up to an earthquake. Room was shaking significantly this time (which I hadn't experienced since living in Denver). I thought I was crazy...but then: 4.2 Indiana Earthquake Felt In Miami Valley DAYTON, Ohio -- According to the U.S. Geological Society, a 4.2 earthquake that was centered near Kokomo, Ind., has been felt in the Miami Valley. December 30, 201014 yr I felt it in Cincinnati. These suckers seem to be getting more frequent. I am pretty sure this is leading up to the end of the world in 2012.
December 30, 201014 yr I felt a short bit of shaking just before 8am. I was going to say something, but I thought my co-workers would think I was nuts claiming it was an earthquake. "Someone is sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago." - Warren Buffett
December 30, 201014 yr Heck, yes, I felt it! I was enjoying my morning cocoa and newspaper and a brief severe jolt shook my house mad made stuff rattle in the kitchen. It was similar to the feeling when a heavy, fast-moving truck hits a bad spot in the pavement about fifty feet from my house, but several times the intensity. I looked out the window and there wasn't a truck anywhere in sight, so I turned on the radio to see if there had been an earthquake. So far, I've heard nothing.
December 30, 201014 yr It was on the Weather Channel. And I never understood why the Weather Channel covers earthquakes. Shouldn't that be for the Geology Channel? :-P "In the souls of the people the grapes of wrath are filling and growing heavy, growing heavy for the vintage." -- John Steinbeck
December 30, 201014 yr yes I very much felt it. My apartment building was shaking for atleast 5 seconds. felt longer.
December 30, 201014 yr I did wake up around 7:45 am because I was suddenly really thirsty. I'm going to go with coincidence.
December 30, 201014 yr My wife and I, in Franklin, Oh. were drinking coffee right before 8AM when one jolt shook our living room. We immediately realized it was an earth tremor.

December 31, 201014 yr I did wake up around 7:45 am because I was suddenly really thirsty. I'm going to go with coincidence. From now on you should get a glass of water, and then stand in a door frame for at least 30 minutes. Just to be safe.
December 31, 201014 yr There's been quite a few small earthquakes here in the midwest lately. The worst I've experienced yet was in LA...and I was in a 120 year old house at the time lol. I'm just glad I live in a steel highrise. Worst thing that could probably happen is a lot of plaster falling.
January 1, 201114 yr Man, I'm so p!ssed I didn't get to experience this. Luckily, I did get woken up at like 4am by that Earthquake in Cincinnati a few years back. That was cool! I've never experienced anything like that before! It didn't do any damage or anything. Actually I was glad it happened because it woke me up when I forgot to set my alarm clock and had to finish a paper before class that morning lol. You guys know how much I love natural disasters lol. I'm still heated about that "Tornado of the century with characteristics of a hurricane" that was supposed to come to Columbus this year but bypassed us and turned out not to be much of a big deal anyway. :(
January 1, 201114 yr I didn't feel it, as I was in the office already, but apparently my oldest felt it, and ran in to wake up the wife.
