I thought I'd check out some towns around Genoa Township (Delaware County) where Ohio's Governor-Elect Kasich resides.

I know this isn't their downtown, but it might as well be.

Hey, I resemble that remark.

I was wondering when you were going to get to those two towns; they're rather quaint. It just boggles my mind that you have these nice towns and yet people moving here prefer to live in ugly suburban developments instead of the old towns themselves. I really don't know why strip-mall developers bother with the fake urban setting. If they wanted to they could replicate the urban style seen downtown. I don't understand the point of idealizing an urban setting in a sprawling development, since I thought that's what most people in the area are fleeing from.

Maybe it's because new houses tend to have fewer maintenance issues, and better resale values. I would prefer to never live in anything built after WWII, but the costs associated with old houses do scare me.

BTW, this is really atrocious IMHO. C+ for effort though, I guess.

Hey, Uptown Westerville is awesome, thankyouverymuch.

But now I have a negative opinion on Galena.  A shame because the town looks great.

That is a pretty silly Meijer front. I guess it is better than their other options. The good thing is that Westerville seems determined to actually expand the urbanized section of Uptown, but this stuff will always be close by. This part of Delaware Cty is dissected by the various reservoirs and horrid sprawl-burbs that it messes w/ the mental geography.

jwoww that meijer plaza front...i love meijer, but that rilly makes you pause and reconsider!

That is a pretty

The facade of the meijer building in westerville is what was required of meijer by the city  when it was built. Some of the newer designs of meijer stores, especially in chicagoland are actually pretty decent considering its big box retail.
