July 30, 20168 yr Just finished the 3rd season of BoJack Horseman-- strongly recommended. The first few episodes are like a bad Family Guy knockoff, but keep going. It turns out to be the opposite of that.
August 6, 20168 yr Just finished the 3rd season of BoJack Horseman-- strongly recommended. The first few episodes are like a bad Family Guy knockoff, but keep going. It turns out to be the opposite of that. Very strange show at times, but really good. And you have to pay attention to everything because there are witty cultural nuggets hidden in every scene.
August 6, 20168 yr Has anyone checked out "Stranger Things" on Netflix? I was not expecting it to be that good, but I was blown away for sure! my spouse is watching this now, but i am not. she is on ep3 so far and going on about it. friends are on ep5 i think they said and liking it a lot too.
August 28, 20168 yr For those getting ready for the finale of The Night Of, this is an excellent read: http://www.thewrap.com/the-night-of-it-doesnt-matter-if-naz-did-it-commentary/ Has anyone checked out "Stranger Things" on Netflix? I was not expecting it to be that good, but I was blown away for sure! It is very good. The potential to be great is there if the show creators are able to build upon what the first season set up
August 28, 20168 yr My girlfriend and I only have two episodes left of Orange is the New Black (season 4). The show is really heating up this season, finally. I can't wait to see how the season ends. I've been so busy with school (only 1 more week to go!) I haven't been able to watch much of anything. OITNB and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt are the only two shows I've been watching over the summer. Those two are probably my favorites right now (without being exposed to a lot of new shows I'm sure I'd love this year.) It's so weird for me...actually being so busy that I have to watch one or two episodes at a time like "back in the day" instead of binge-watching which I've become accustomed to. My girlfriend and I made an agreement, that we absolutely would not watch OITNB without the other present. I literally told her, "If you sneak and watch any episodes without me and I find out, we are DONE!" She said, "YOU THINK I WOULD DO THAT TO YOU!?" Haha. At first I thought I may have over-reacted but apparently, from what I've heard from others, this is a very normal relationship dynamic.

We couldn't finish season 3 and I have no interest in going back. I thought season 2 of Kimmy Schmidt was pretty bad as well. A couple (rare) Netflix misses in those seasons. Very Stable Genius
August 29, 20168 yr ^Season 3 of OITNB was pretty disappointing. Season 4 was much better. I doubt it will ever be as good as Season 1 just because everything was new to everyone (the characters and audience) but Season 4 was worth watching.
August 29, 20168 yr http://www.nbcchicago.com/news/local/Judge-Overturns-Conviction-for-Making-a-Murderers-Brendan-Dassey-390019181.html Brendan Dassey (from Making a Murderer) had his conviction overturned earlier this month. Very Stable Genius
September 26, 20168 yr "Designated Survivor" (aka the President Jack Bauer Show) doesn't look too bad so far, though they kind of messed up by having the State of the Union "Designated Survivor" (an actual thing) able to see the Capitol from where he was staying. They are always far, far, away from DC.
October 1, 20168 yr Just got caught up on Atlanta. It lives up to the hype. Darius steals the show at times. https://youtu.be/MpEdJ-mmTlY HBO's is about to release Westworld on the world. Lots sex & violence supposedly. There were two movies based on the same book, I can recommend if you like 70s sci-fi Yul Brynner!
October 3, 20168 yr I'm planning on watching Westworld. Looks intriguing. Also I binged "The Night Of" and was not disappointed. Very well done show. Hoping for a season 2 announcement soon.
October 3, 20168 yr I hope they leave The Night Of alone. It got its message across. No need to overdo it. I watched Westworld premier last night. I suspect it will be on par with the other HBO Sunday night shows.
October 3, 20168 yr I hope they leave The Night Of alone. It got its message across. No need to overdo it. I'm hoping they go off in a different direction with focus on side or all new characters. Like True Detective, but not done in a terrible way like True Detective.
October 3, 20168 yr It just wouldn't have the same impact. You'd know going in what the premise is. Ha! I knew what the premise was before I watched this show but I watched it anyhow.
October 3, 20168 yr I've been marathoning The New Girl. It's pretty charming fluff. I've also been watching (really listening) to the Morton Downey Show at work. Sort of a blend of Fox News and Jerry Springer - highly entertaining.
October 25, 20168 yr It's an interesting show but it doesn't "grab" me as Hts121 said. "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
October 26, 20168 yr superstore! I've caught a few episodes. I need to watch more to see if I really like it. I'm disappointed with The Strain, Season 3 as I loved the books. I love Modern Family, Insecure, Black-ish, The real O'neals, Mr. Robot, How to get away with Murder. I can't wait for The Catch, Top Chef & American Crime to return.
October 27, 20168 yr ^ I've heard so much positive buzz about it that I'm going to have to check it out. I've actually been enjoying this season of the Strain. I felt like last season dragged a little. Although I have to say that last week was a rough one for me. First I watched TWD, and got all upset, so I decided to watch The Strain afterward, and they go and kill off one of my favorites on that one. I'm still mad.

I wish The Strain would have stayed closer to the books. Fet, Gus, Nora and Quinlan are bad ass, especially in the last book.
December 30, 20168 yr ^So have I...I binged watched Travelers last weekend. It's a Nextflix show. Wasn't bad. A different spin on time travel.
December 30, 20168 yr Just finished The OA last night. Well, it's mostly very good. The premise is ridiculous, however. It's hard to get past some of the scenes which were unintentionally hilarious.
December 30, 20168 yr I'm still working my way through latest season of The Man in the High Castle. Sherlock returns on Sunday. I've been waiting for that for some time.
December 30, 20168 yr I tried out DirecTV NOW, which is basically a cable subscription that you stream, because they threw in a free Amazon Fire stick with a one month subscription, and they have a special intro price of $35 per month for 100 channels. I haven't had cable for at least a decade. I completely forgot about how it is possible to have 100 channels and absolutely nothing worth watching on any of them. So far I've only really used it to watch UC Basketball games and a handful of good movies that come on IFC and Sundance (though I could have just gotten those at the library for free). It does come with Watch ESPN which is nice, and HBO/HBO Go is only a $5 add on. I'm probably going to get rid of it, though, because I simply don't watch enough TV. Overall, I ended up with a fire stick for $5 off and got to watch some TV for a month.
January 3, 20178 yr I'm still working my way through latest season of The Man in the High Castle. I blew right through The Man in the High Castle! What a great story line!
January 3, 20178 yr I watched Season 1 of Mr. Robot over the weekend. Started out strong, and I generally enjoyed it, although the ending was a little too much fight club for me. Not sure if I'm going to rush into season 2, although I'll probably get around to it. I finished season 3 of Orphan Black, and I can't say enough good things about it. Some of the plot is just nonsense, but overall it's a really fun show, and I'm continually amazed at how well Tatiana Maslany plays multiple characters.
January 27, 20178 yr Sense8 and The OA, aside from the network superhero/supernatural shows (Gotham, Flash, Shield, Grimm, etc). "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
January 27, 20178 yr Currently -The OC -Samurai Champloo The first season of The OC is one of my all time favorites!
January 27, 20178 yr The Young Pope is just ridiculous. It's timing couldn't be more perfect with Trump in office.
January 27, 20178 yr Am watching NewsMax in order to get another respective on the news verses the alphabet networks. Getting only one side of the news does not really make one able to come to a well informed conclusion. TV shows, Grim. Love the show, and am disappointed that this is its last season.
January 27, 20178 yr Samurai Champloo has a cool soundtrack. The Fall is good once you get over Gillian Anderson bad Irish accent.
January 27, 20178 yr A show my sister's boyfriend has been working on (he's a writer) aired last night on CW. Riverdale. I wasn't sure if I would like it, but felt obligated to watch. It was actually pretty decent. http://www.cleveland.com/tv-blog/index.ssf/2017/01/riverdale_is_dark_and_steamy_take_on_archie_and_friends.html Am watching NewsMax That's a negative Ghost Rider
January 27, 20178 yr The Thundermans, Nicky,Ricky,Dicky & Dawn, oh and a healthy dose of Teen Titans Go! Quick, before they come back....someone help me!!
January 28, 20178 yr The Thundermans, Nicky,Ricky,Dicky & Dawn, oh and a healthy dose of Teen Titans Go! Quick, before they come back....someone help me!! TTG, Spongebob, Loud House. I cannot stomach those tweener "sitcoms" complete with annoying laugh track and try to not be in the room when they are on.
January 29, 20178 yr Finished The OA on Netflix last night, not sure what to make of the ending. It was pretty decent overall, though. My next Netflix foray will be A Series of Unfortunate Events. Watched the first episode which was pretty good, so I will give it a go. Also been watching Taboo on FX. There have only been two episodes thus far, but it is phenomenal.
