February 25, 201114 yr In January 1996, when I was living in Berea, I woke that morning to find this snow drift in front of my apartment. I had to climb between the snow drift and the fence to get this shot. Two weeks later, the snow was gone.... February 25, 201114 yr Yeah, I'm not leaving the house today. I'm watching the wind blow off the lake and it looks freezing. You know, it actually wasn't too cold when I went out to walk the dog this morning. The snow was wet and nasty though...
February 25, 201114 yr I'm enjoying the wonders of modern technology, and logging in remotely. My assistant said she could barely get out of the driveway today, at which point she got stuck in the street and needed an neighbor to push her back in. She lives in Willoughby.
February 25, 201114 yr I made it in today, all the way from Lakewood to DT Akron. Wasn't horrible, we were moving the whole time. I did see an ODOT plow truck on 77 that had slid off the highway into the middle of the median, fully loaded with salt too boot.
February 25, 201114 yr I came in around 11:30. I always drive Euclid in heavy snow because it tends to be better maintained because of the Healthline. It wasn't bad except for snow piles at intersections. And I drive a little Honda Civic, so yeah.
February 28, 201114 yr From what the local Youngstown stations are reporting, supposedly the Youngstown/Warren airport has recorded 103 inches so far this winter, the highest of any reporting station in Ohio.

February 28, 201114 yr Ya, not sure it's a distinction we want. They're saying it's our highest snowfall total EVER!
February 28, 201114 yr My parents live in western mahoning county and they have gotten pounded this year. There have been a couple of time where I have had an inch or two of snow in western Cleveland and they have had 8"-10".
January 23, 201213 yr The weather service link gives us 22.7" so far this winter. More than I thought. It's because I don't work in Chardon anymore. :) (I was curious as to what the total was, and Google brought up this thread early in its links.)
January 23, 201213 yr The weather service link gives us 22.7" so far this winter. More than I thought. It's because I don't work in Chardon anymore. :) (I was curious as to what the total was, and Google brought up this thread early in its links.) Two major snow falls accounted for over 40% of this winters total. I think why it feels like nothing is because after a day or two, even our largest snowfalls have completely melted. Snow has not stuck, and most of the winter we have seen green grass, not snow hills. In addition, we have had some unseasonable sunny days, and high temperatures, breaking up the winter a bit.
January 24, 201213 yr And when's that?? "In the souls of the people the grapes of wrath are filling and growing heavy, growing heavy for the vintage." -- John Steinbeck
