For all the flack it gets, I do like Grove City's downtown.

The sidewalks look nice, buildings well-kept, and there's even a pedestrian crossing: a solid town.

Cute, and they have a Graeters.  :-)

This part of town is functional and attractive. Shame that the rest of it isn't.

I dont like how Grove Sh!tty has changed since I was little. Stringtown *barf* the cbd is great though.

My parents lived in Grove City for a while. They named their first dog Grover.

why does grove city get flak?

Most of the really depressed parts of what people call "Grove City" are actually on the SW side of Columbus, i.e. areas north of 270 off of Harrisburg Pike. That's the "Grovetucky" to which people refer. The Southwest Side gets lumped in due to the fact that it shares the school district with Grove City (Southwestern City Schools) and that people don't know their geography that well.

Grove City = Milford?

Looks nice.  Thanks for the tour.

^ Kinda close. Grove City's topography is a lot different. Milford is also overall more upscale than Grove City.

You sure about that Crites? Grove City has a lot of McMansions now. Over by...I think its Stringtown Rd. The Pinnacle. I just know Chipotle as a landmark. McMansions near Chipotle... Milford kinda sucks. The part of Milford I went to was dumpy.

Where in Milford? I don't consider McMansions upscale and the market won't either when it's all said and done.

Where in Milford? I don`t know what to tell you other than that I was on my way to somewhere else. I think I passed a Save-A-Lot. McMansions lack character but I`m sure the new 5 bdrm houses in The Pinnacle are still considered upscale. I think housing stock can be misleading. In some communities people live much more modest compared to other communities, with income being equal. It amazes me that some really well off people in C. Winchester live in small houses. Everything is well kept though. I remember Milford looking dumpy/trashy with  no sidewalks. Like it was in Alabama.

Milford nor Grove City are "upscale" by any stretch.  The two are comparable but Milford has a better downtown by a good margin.

GC reminds me of a larger North Canton.  North Canton is considered "upscale" compared with Canton but in the big picture it probably isn't all that upscale at all.

Cute, and they have a Graeters. :-)

You read my mind.

well i suppose there had to be a thread for gc at some point.

Thanks for the photos.  The wide sidewalk with trees are nice.  Makes the streetscape so much more pleasant.

I just took another look, and noticed for the first time that the streetlights are gas lights! I like.
