Here's the fourth and final part of my Cleveland tour from Summer 2010, this time I toured Tower City, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and the Warehouse District, also the second of my two ball games between the Tigers and Indians I went to.

Started out @ Tower City, Downtown Cleveland's Enclosed Retail Complex

Hard Rock Cafe, where I ate supper, I figured I would eat here since I did go to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Terminal Tower lobby... the observation deck was open from 12-4 pm that day and I arrived at 3:00 pm only to find out they had stopped selling tickets at 2:30 pm, which was a bit frustrating. I was never told and I never read ANYWHERE that you had to get tickets in advance or by 2:30 pm for this and if the observation deck is open from 12-4, why do you STOP selling tickets at 2:30? I guess I should have asked, oh well, what can you do?

In the 9th inning, it began to rain, thus delaying the game and forcing me to go back to my hotel room for the night, as I had to leave early the next day for home

127632432.jpg

Many people left, I stuck around for a while to see if they could get the game started again...

127632433.jpg

But no luck... Tigers lost the game, 2-1, thus losing BOTH GAMES I saw in Cleveland...

It was a great trip, though. Hope to make it back someday! Hope y'all enjoyed my pictures!

Nice shot of the Warehouse District.

Does USPS still use the building off the terminal complex?

I like the first picture, as well as the rest!

Well done!

95% of the Cleveland photo threads are downtown shots or old photos of downtown.  Is this a hidden message saying there's nothing else in Cleveland worth displaying?

No, those operations were moved to a large warehouse style complex on Orange Ave.  That is now where Quicken Loans has its operations.

You must have missed the University Circle and Little Italy threads recently posted.

Thanks!  Little Italy looked fantastic.  I've always felt Cleveland had a little Columbus in it, though many may disagree w/me

More like Columbus has a little Cleveland in it ;)

You're interpreting the "hidden message" the wrong way big guy.  Our downtown is just so dang photogenic and there is just so much to see and capture that the photogs just can't seem to make it out to the other, fantastic neighborhoods.

^ We even have some larger buildings that never seem to find their way onto these photo threads. Like the Fidelity Mortgage building

Great set!  The Warehouse District should really be promoted more! When I was in Cleveland with my family, my parents had the impression that the Flats was still the happening place of Cleveland, but when we went down there, it was a wasteland.  We kind of stumbled upon the warehouse district, and wondered why there wasn't better signage.

I've also commented before that it seems like there are so many photo threads of Downtown Cleveland, and hardly any of some of the other neighborhoods that get talked about as being premier Cleveland neighborhoods, like Coventry, Tremont, and even Shaker/Cleveland/ Hts.

Well... technically, Coventry, Shaker/Cleveland Hts are not "Cleveland neighborhoods".  Coventry is in Cleveland Heights and both CH and SH are their own cities.  When the weather cheers up a bit, I am going to do a thorough photothread on CH like this site has never seen before!

There are Tremont threads on here, just use the search function.  Same goes for Univ. Circle, Little Italy, Ohio City, Westpark and Kamm's Corner, Glenville, Old Brooklyn, etc.  The disproportion you notice is most likely due to the fact that we have so many people who are visitors to Cleveland (like jaybird) that post threads and visitors tend to gravitate towards the downtown area

Shaker Square doesn't have much, especially summer shots cause MTS took down all his pictures. We need some new ones!

It cleared up! ;)
