I didn't want to make a thread on it because I wasn't sure how the mods would react and I wouldn't have anything to kick it off with, but I noticed lately that pretty much everything posted has been based on articles from places like cleveland.com (I mostly reside in the Northeast Ohio forum).  I thought, since there are a lot of informed people on here in position to hear things, a Rumor Mill thread would be cool. A place where people can post hearsay about developments that haven't been announced or are in preliminary stages.  Would this have any traction, or would a thread like this eventually die from lack of use?

It would be too scattered for discussions to stay coherent. Rumors on given topics can be posted in threads devoted to those topics. One thread for rumors on any topic? What a mess!

natininja probalby is right. Rather than dying from lack of use, it could run away and become a distraction from more specific topics. It could easily become a magnet for people prone to flaming other people's posts just to get attention, and another place for moderators to patrol.

Word on the street is that Rumor Mill is not a good idea.

I see what your intentions were. One of the best things about UrbanOhio is when you learn about something before it is announced. That hasn't happened in awhile though.
