Could someone point me in the right direction concerning a bike shop that both sells and repairs bikes. My bike needs some basic repairs and my wife needs to buy a new one. I live in the Warehouse district so anything in that general vicinity would be great. Thank you!

Fridrich's on Lorain.  They can repair pretty much anything and have a decent selection of new and some used bikes.

I like Spin in Lakewood:

There's also the Ohio City Bike Co-op in the Flats, but they're a co-op, so you'd have to become a member to do anything there:

And then there's two places that are opening soon in Ohio City and Detroit Shoreway, but I'm not sure if they'll be doing both repairs and sales.

There's also Shaker Cycle, in Tremont on W. 5th.

Thank you everyone for the good suggestions. I've had my bike repaired by Shaker Cycle and he does a really good job but I don't think he does bike sales. I heard good things about Spin and Fridriches so I think I will check those two out.

Hey you should also check out Cain Park Bicycles in Cleveland Heights.  I have used them for tuneups and a new spoke and they are great and seem like good prices.  I didn't buy my bike there so I can't speak to that, but I did get my bike at Cycle Sport in S taylor in Cleveland Heights and they also repair.

Check out Reser in Newport.

Oh, is this a Cleveland thread? Could've fooled me with the title.

Blazing Saddle Cycle in Detroit Shoreway.  They just opened about a month ago.  The best mechanic from Fridrich's is working there full-time now.

It's not open yet, but Joy Machines Bike Shop on West 25th in Ohio City is going to be spectacular.  They're scheduled to be up and running in late June or early July.

Sorry, I did forget to list what city in the title. That is fixed now. Somone else told me about Blazing Saddles just yesterday. That also sounds like a possibility.

Smith,

Thanks for the suggestion of Cain Park Bicycles in Cleveland Heights. I've been in there but it's a little too far for me. I'm a little bit of a downtown snob. If I can find it in downtown, Tremont or Ohio City, I will go there first.

Yes, Joy Machines IS going to be spectacular! New and used bikes. Service. Apparel. Speciality items. Customization. Everything you could ever want.

Should be open in 2-3 weeks.

I might have to wait on my wife's bike purchase for Joy Machine to open.
