I thought the town would be a little bit better...

1. What happened to the old courthouse?

2. Who decided to put that awful addition on the old hotel/senior apts?

Cleveland, TN *snooze*  Not the pictures, but the town. I find the blighted industrial pics to be interesting. I'm surprised there isn't much graffiti on those buildings, but then again, most southern areas do not have a real graff scene.

Smaller, quieter and not as active as I would have expected for a town of 41,000.

We have towns much smaller with way better building stock than that.  Wooster comes to mind immediately.

Great-looking abandoned industrial complex.

I think there's more to Cleveland. It has a prominent place in Pentecostal Christianity as headquarter of the Church of God (Cleveland, Tennessee), and I think that's the context in which I first heard of it. What's shown in the photos looks clean and well-kept.

Nice buildings around Cleveland, Tennessee, but a bit empty.

thanks for sharing. Everytime I used to book a flight this would come up and I wondered what it was like. That and Cleveland TX. One time we were at a BBQ joint outside of houston and the bee hived waitress asked "where Ya'll from?". "Cleveland" we answered, and she said "that is such a fine a little town" . ... "why yes it is"
