Heading down to Logan, OH Friday night to run the warrior dash on Saturday morning. Any other UO'ers headed that way? Looks like it will be a fun time.

My girlfriend and I are in the 1:00 wave on Saturday. Pretty excited. It's going to be freakin HOT that day though. 89 and rain!

I'll be in the 1pm heat as well.  Camping with a group of about 60.  I think the logistics of everything will be the hardest part

Oh, now that looks like FUN!

I may go to the one in New York! After a quick google search for mud run, it appears this is way bigger than 1 event. I found at least 8 similar runs in the NYC area. I guess instead of a marathon runner you can be a mud runner? Sounds fun to me!

Yeah.. there are a bunch of different events. Warrior Dash and Mud Runner are the two largest, I believe. They have events all over the country. This is the first time there's one in Ohio, though.

And yes, MayDay, I am looking forward to it... though, my girlfriend is a bit apprehensive.

Any of you guys know the details about the site? According to their website, they place where you and park, check-in, and do the after-festivities is different from the racing site and they shuttle you back and forth. Are they supplying facilities for rinsing, or do they not care if whatever they use to shuttle people gets muddy?

Sorry for posting this and not following up, I was traveling Friday before coming home and driving to Logan. First off it was a great time. We camped at the old man's cave state park which was about a half an hour from the site. It was a very well run event and the obstacles were fun but not too challenging. I hung back with my wife so my time wasnt that great. We did the 9:30 on saturday with a group of about 20 people, most BRRG girls and sig others. It was a hilly bitch of trail run and was already torn up by the 5th heat, I would love to know what it was like today after the thunder storms last night...

I highly recommend this to anybody interested. The have scheduled a second one for this year in september outside of Canton.

Holy Crap that was fun! I was in the 10 am Saturday heat. I went with friends who knew the landowner, we stayed in the single wide surrounded by the racecourse. If you were heckled/yelled at by several people 50 yards before the climbing wall, that was me and my friends!

Additionally, my friends were the guys in the bride outfits.... I think I had TOO MUCH fun. :)

Oh I saw those guys. Were you in a dress too? Did you see the hulk?

We were in the gray Burning River Girls Shirts. One of our friends probably would have won the women's outright but her chip didn't work. She's a mad trail runner and does those crazy 50 mile runs.

No I was the guy burned to a crisp by 14 hours of sunshine.  I did place 902 out of 9800 on Saturday!

^Did it get crazy later in the afternoon? We left around 2:00.

I was the good husband, and finished something like 6280 out of 9800.

It wasn't crazy, but the hose off area did become a sizable lake later in the day. My friends in the bride outfit came in 2nd in the costume contest at the end.
