June 7, 201114 yr The first time I ever was pooped on by a bird was on the SI Ferry, back when I was a kid in the 70's. Good times.
June 14, 201114 yr ^Seems like a very fond memory ;) It's supposedly good luck! I hope you didn't go to Staten Island.
June 14, 201114 yr I would imagine, that being on the ferry, he was either going to, or coming from, Staten Island. Even if only to stop and get back on. And what's wrong with Staten Island, cabron? Westerleigh! Woot!

Westerleigh! Woot! whats right with Staten Island is the question?! I pray the child was able to wait on the boat and not actually touch SI soil. If he actually set foot on SI, we may have to delouse the boy! Knowing him he may enjoy it! justsayin'

Stay away from Manhattan and Shaker Square, you walking Petri dish! No need to worry, I went straight to the hotel after and took a shower, Manhattan is safe. Plus, the terminal is like a neutral zone, safe from contamination. Also, what is this Shaker Square you speak of? Do you mean Shaker Circle? Why would I want to go there? ;)
June 15, 201114 yr Wonderful photos! They bring back memories of visiting a dear and now departed friend between Christmas and New Years, about 1991. Here's a photo from our ride on the Staten Island Ferry on a freezing-cold winter day:

June 17, 201113 yr Funny how people lament about the loss of the World Trade Center, when it was railed as an intrusive, ugly design when it was first completed. Great photos - I love NYC!
June 17, 201113 yr ^ Well, regardless of their aesthetic appeal, they were two of the iconic buildings that defined the NYC skyline. Also, the loss people feel obviously has more to it than just the loss of that aesthetic.
