June 13, 201114 yr Has nobody voted! We are in the same place that we were in on Friday!!! Even the Over-the-Rhine Foundation moved up to 4 from 13, largely as a result of posting on here (at least there were responses from people saying they voted). Whats wrong with you Clevelanders!
June 13, 201114 yr Yeah, the smelly hippy (j/k) in the bear costume isn't endearing. I voted this am.
June 13, 201114 yr Wow, I was sent that link before and just read the article and was wondering what the hell the site was wanting me to vote on. I was all "sweet good to know someone is actually working on that" after reading it and went on my way. All voted up now.
June 14, 201114 yr Cleveland/Detroit Superior Bridge is now #6! Congrats to Cincinatti (the Over-the-Rhine foundation), they managed to move to number 1..... Remember, we do have till the end of the month so alot can happen (like Detroit/Superior moving to #1, and Over-the-Rhine moving to #6) :-P
June 14, 201114 yr To track the results. You should add this to the first post http://www.preservationnation.org/take-action/this-place-matters/community-challenge/voting-results.html
June 14, 201114 yr I canceled my OTR vote and voted for the Detroit Superior Bridge project. Sorry Cincy

June 15, 201114 yr Comin' in hot towards 4th place. I just got about 10 votes in less than an hour, and im not even trying. We got this.
June 15, 201114 yr Back down to 6th...keep voting people...millimeters behind 4th and 5th place!!! Tell everyone.
June 15, 201114 yr ^ To track the results. You should add this to the first post http://www.preservationnation.org/take-action/this-place-matters/community-challenge/voting-results.html Cleveland has 4th place in reach, but there's a pretty big gap b/w 3rd and 4th. If Cleveland can't win, I hope OTR holds on for first.
June 15, 201114 yr If you know and can get permission from people you know, you can just vote for them since you dont need a password or anything. All you do is give an email and an area code and then you can vote. I voted for my parents real quick since it only takes a second to do and I dont have to log into their email addresses or anything.
June 15, 201114 yr I think we got this. Im going viral with it on facebook. As seen with Peyton Hillis, when Clevelanders can vote for something, they go off.
June 15, 201114 yr I just put it up on my Linkedin. I'd tweet it as well, but neither of my followers lives in Ohio....
June 15, 201113 yr Wow, OTR is kind of running away with this. While I really believe OTR really deserves to win, I'd love for Ohio to sweep the top three or at least top two.
June 16, 201113 yr Back into 5th place. I got about 50-60 people to vote today...keep goin. I want this one bad for his part of town. I think this would be big to better connect downtown to the OC and Detroit Shoreway
June 16, 201113 yr I wonder if anyone has sent out an e-mail to Ingenuity Festival attendees (well, at least those who provided e-mail addresses as a component of their ticket purchases). Seems like a good way to get votes from a big group that has seen the potential of the space first-hand.
June 16, 201113 yr Sadly, This needs to get onto Cleveland.com. Although there are thousands of goofballs on there, there are plenty of Cleveland supporters and the readership on that website is HUGE. Anyone have connections?

I submitted it for inclusion in Cool Cleveland, but it must not have been received in time (since it wasnt in there) Hopefully next week.

Sad, just sad!

June 16, 201113 yr We are in 5th place, 6th place is close behind. We have some catching up to do to get in 4th.
June 16, 201113 yr Ive exhausted my resources.i cant believe we didnt make a bigger jump. Ill keep working at it
June 18, 201113 yr I don't know what the rankings will look like in 12 days but I hope if it's obvious either Cleveland or OTR won't win, we can help each other pull into first for Ohio's sake.
June 18, 201113 yr The one that's currently in first place, the Ritz Theater in Wellington, TX, clearly put a lot of effort into this.
June 18, 201113 yr The one that's currently in first place, the Ritz Theater in Wellington, TX, clearly put a lot of effort into this. Yes. And they've received ample media support from local media like this article from the Amarillo Globe-News: http://amarillo.com/blog-post/chip-chandler/2011-06-17/ritz-still-needs-support
June 18, 201113 yr i have written e-mails to Cleveland.com. Cleveland.com is the key to this whole thing.has to get on there
June 21, 201113 yr Channel 5 actually ran a story on this and had it on their website to vote for their project yesterday. http://www.newsnet5.com/dpp/news/local_news/cleveland_metro/campaign-launched-to-transform-detroit-superior-bridge
June 21, 201113 yr Like this idea, but as one who notices slack follow up maintenance on other existing parks, venues, public spaces, storefronts, etc...I wish there would be a demonstration in making such places the best they can be FIRST, before adding more, that could possible be subject to the same lack of follow up. Quality over quantity. My biggest concern is the upkeep quality as there are potential issues that could arise that I have not seen addressed.
June 22, 201113 yr Cleveland currently has 2,145 votes and Cincinnati has 3,531. I'm sure if this gets place on the news outlets we could close the gap on first place.
June 22, 201113 yr Yo, I hope you guys will change your votes to OTR if you're still a few spots out of 3rd on the last day.
June 22, 201113 yr Yo, I hope you guys will change your votes to OTR if you're still a few spots out of 3rd on the last day. Great idea. If OTR falls out of the top 3 with no way of winning, I'll vote for Cleveland Bridge. I hope Cleveland does the same. Go OHIO http://www.preservationnation.org/take-action/this-place-matters/community-challenge/places/over-the-rhine.html
