Posted June 29, 201113 yr The Coventry Street Fair was held this past Sunday from 12-6pm. Great weather. Great crowd. Good times. I actually went twice, once with my son in the early afternoon and returned later in the day for these pictures and to hear my man Carlos Jones play. I believe the next fair is in late July and I encourage anyone who enjoys this type of event to attend. NOTE: Yes, we all know there was some trouble at closing time, but lets keep that discussion in the appropriate thread. The reports are mixed at best. Regardless, as you can see from the pictures below, there wasn’t a hint of anything but peace and love (just as it should be) through the time I left at 5:15pm. I'd ask the mods to keep it clean. Enjoy. Arriving at the fair at around 3:30pm… 1. 2. 3. Lots of tall people walking around 4. A Blues Band playing to a very uninspired crowd (I guess that’s sort of the point) at the intersection with Mayfield Rd. 5. All sorts of people enjoying a beautiful day in THE Heights 6. 7. Plenty of vendors with ‘Coventry’ type things 8. 9. Very nice turnout 10. 11. This guy was ‘spinning’ at the corner of Hampshire (more from here later) 12. Street performers galore. He actually was quite talented. Not as talented as that little guy standing in front of him (more from him later) 13. The strip was absolutely packed from Hampshire all the way up to Euclid Heights Blvd 14. 15. 16. 17. People enjoying the Panini’s patio 18. More street performers at the intersection with Lancashire 19. 20. 21. I-Tal and Carlos Jones playing reggae to a nice crowd at the top of the strip 22. 23. 24. Crossing Euclid Heights and looking back at the strip 25. 26. 27. Coventry Peace Park being put to good use on a great day 28. 29. 30. 31. Heading back down 32. 33. I think Mickey was trying to scoop those digits 34. 35. 36. 37. 38. More really, really tall people who don’t walk so good (….sure your hand just happened to touch her breast) 39. Whatever they were cooking over there smelled good 40. 41. 42. 43. 44. Nice hat (in the background there) 45. Pretty sure this guy was going for some cleavage shots 46. I’ve been spotted 47. 48. You gotta have some balls to walk on those things through a crowd like this. All it takes is one a-hole who thinks it would be funny to see you fall 49. 50. Get the word out 51. 52. Just when I was about to leave…. an impromptu b-boy competition 53. 54. 55. 56. 57. 58. 59. 60. And the winner was….. 61. 62. 63. 64. Some parting shots at around 5:15 (45 minutes prior to closing) 65. 66. 67. 68. This a-hole again.... 69.

June 29, 201113 yr Great turnout! I think the guy on top of the building taking pics looks suspiciously like an UrbanOhioan. I mean -- who else would do that? ;-) OK, I grew up in the woods of Geauga County 30 years ago.... So what's a b-boy competition?
