Bump -- with the movie's success. Anyone see themselves or landmarks in the flick??

I've found myself scattered about six times throughout the Germany sequence!  I love how much they focus on Terminal Tower and the surrounding area in the scene.  There is one shot even from below pointing upwards, focusing on the top of the tower.  I found this picture if you haven't seen it, and one of me...  :-P

^Thats awesome! Ha! How does it feel to be a movie star?

Just saw it today - wonderful job, and worth paying $17ish for seeing it in 3D IMAX.

I was honestly surprised to see just how much footage they used of/from Cleveland. I clearly saw:

Terminal Tower (view from Public Square)

Higbee Building

Renaissance Hotel

Park Building

May Company

Key Tower

Society for Savings Building

75 Public Square

200 Public Square

Public Square

Soldiers and Sailors Monument

Cuyahoga County Courthouse (interior shots featuring the rotunda, staircase and stained glass window)

East 9th Street

Former Huntington Building

Ameritrust Rotunda (exterior and interior)

Ameritrust Tower

Rose Building (aka Medical Mutual)

Schofield Building

Ohio Savings Plaza

800 Superior (aka Keybank Center)

PNC Center (distant)

1100 Superior (distant)

Statler Arms

Oh, and I saw Robin Swoboda playing a news anchor for a blip - I would have been far more happy to see Wilma or Ramona but oh well.

That's off the top of my head - granted it was standing in for NYC and being blown to bits, Cleveland looked damn good in this film :-)

The courthouse scenes were unexpected, and I literally squealed and pointed in the theater in New Orleans, exclaiming "Ooohh thats Cleveland!"

Very cool.

I was one of the SWAT team guys in the opening scene.  I need to watch it again to pin point my shots...sadly I didn't get a full frontal.

I got to film there and I love how much they actually highlighted the staircase, mural, etc. in the movie.  They really showed off the architecture.

You may have!  The first time I saw it I barely found myself once and it wasn't until the second time I realized how much I was in it.  The movie cuts so quick you don't realize your looking at yourself

Good to hear. I havent seen it yet but I was talking to somebody yesterday and he mentioned how he only noticed E. 9th St in the movie. Safe to say... he's not an urbanite.

Don't forget under the Detroit Superior Bridge 'subway."

For every billion I think we extras deserve another check... ;)

^Yeah i looked hard for that, I could not figure out which scene it was.  Please enlighten

Just saw The Avengers at the Grove here in LA.  I thought Cleveland looked great.  I hope everyone stayed through all of the credits!  There is always a "secret" scene at the end of all these Marvel movies.  Also, Cleveland was thanked in the credits toward the very end and I heard quite a few people around me saying they didn't know it was filmed in Ohio.

SPOILER!!!

Which scene was that?

It was toward the start of the movie. They filmed near the Forest City Bank (Massimo's) portion of the subway. IIRC, it was where the " possessed bad guys" were setting up shop to start work on their bad guy project

Yes, it was the "bad guys" lair, or "good guys possessed by bad guys" lair. If we hadn't been down there for Ingenuity, we probably wouldn't have known it was a Cleveland locale.

^Perhaps you would not have know, but I (and many, many others I'm sure) have been sneaking down there to explore since the 80s  ;)
