December 13, 20222 yr Can someone remind me -- is the parking for this one completely underground?! Or is there still some in an at-grade garage? Either way, this is absolutely the only acceptable way in this neighborhood's context to do the parking. I'm glad they're setting this precedent and I hope other future projects follow suit.

The parking is split between underground and the ground floor. The parking on the ground floor is screened by retail on the Whittier Street side and apartments on the Jaeger Street side.
December 15, 20222 yr Was this mentioned and I just missed it? https://columbusohdev.app.box.com/s/2m4fpbeizxfcc6hnmgsuu22zp7hxoxu7 7-stories with 75 units at 520 S. High.

It was originally proposed in September 2021 I believe IIRC, City Council gave the project its variance approvals this summer, but then almost immediately after, Schiff went back to the BD commission after slightly increasing the proposed units and slightly decreasing the proposed parking. So now we prob won’t see this and the Livingston Ave project start until at least a few months into next year, instead of the originally intended Fall ‘22.

More units and less parking is great

January 3, 20232 yr I keep looking for a tower crane base in these photos. I wonder if they’ll end up using one?

Needs to be used when appropriate for Clintonvillains as well. I bet they just can't wait until the transients...oops I mean renters move in amongst them.

February 7, 20232 yr Nothing huge, but it looks like things are still going on “behind the scenes” for Lykens’s plan to build 15 units (11 SFHs and 4 carriage units) in GV, which was proposed almost two years ago. This was filed last Thursday.

Sounds like we might have to wait a couple more years: ”Kreais Cos. is also rehabilitating the buildings at 364-368 E. Whittier St., with the goal of opening a 12,000-square-foot food hall. Kreais had hoped to open the food hall in 2023, but said there have bee project delays. The developer didn't share how many food vendors would be in the space or the name of the development yet. Kreais has owned those buildings since 2019.” https://www.bizjournals.com/columbus/news/2022/08/03/merion-village-townhome-development-changes-hands.html I’d seen this property listed about a month back. I guess now it’s official it won’t be moving forward, at least not with Kreais at the helm. I kinda always had doubts this was gonna happen. I wish the original plan for apartments had gone through instead. “Kreais Cos. also rehabilitated buildings at 364-368 E. Whittier St. with the goal of opening a 12,000-square-foot food hall, but recently put them up for lease. "I'm not a restaurant guy, I'm a real estate guy," Kreais told me. "I'm encouraging a tenant to do a food hall in the buildings if they're interested." He has owned the buildings since 2019.” https://www.bizjournals.com/columbus/news/2023/02/17/coworking-in-clintonville.html It was reported before that he’d also sold the land where the Merion Village townhomes were supposed to go. A new site plan was recently submitted, so hopefully that will start soon-ish, at least.
February 26, 20232 yr Jaeger Square. The crane is pretty visible from the surrounding area, and the underground work looks like it’s coming along pretty quickly now.
March 3, 20232 yr I noticed yesterday that the Enterprise on Livingston had shut down, as it’s moving to the Home 2 Suites building downtown to make way for the mixed use development that was approved last year. Hopefully we’ll start seeing demolition soon.
