Fulton County was formed in 1836 and named for Robert Fulton, inventor of the steamboat. Fulton County Courthouse The 1895 limestone Romansque Fulton County Courthouse in Rochester, Indiana, was designed by A.W. Rush & Son, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and erected by contractor Jordan E.
