January 15, 200619 yr Awesome! That looks like a nice viewpoint- closer and lower than what you see from Carew (and obviously without the Kroger Building itself blocking part of the view). The distortion is really cool, too... it's like you're seeing the curvature of the Earth!
January 15, 200619 yr Whoa, that is some kind of dense, urban rascal right there. Nice shot OTRFAN, thanks.
January 16, 200619 yr Interesting vantage point! To the right of the photo north of the kroger garage and Art academy buildings you can see the area where 22 buildings would be torn down for the new washington park school at mercer commons. What was 3cdc thinking??!!
January 16, 200619 yr Very, very cool...thank you! Your shot, I assume? Any to the other directions? I'd be interested to see what the other views look like...
January 17, 200619 yr I took panoramics in the other 3 directions today, and even put together a 360 degree one (kinda), but Photobucket.com is "experiencing issues" and besides the southern facing shots had a bad reflection from the window facing into the sun. I'll try again tomorrow with the clouds, although the sun did make the buildings easier to see. Thanks

January 18, 200619 yr Interesting vantage point! To the right of the photo north of the kroger garage and Art academy buildings you can see the area where 22 buildings would be torn down for the new washington park school at mercer commons. What was 3cdc thinking??!! And the funny thing is, that's about exactly the same vantage point that 3cdc see everyday.
January 18, 200619 yr gotribe - I didn't notice that car until then. That was taken Sunday about noon, which explains the lack of cars & people. here are two more panoramics - I can't get one right of the business district yet... :( facing east - towards I-71 and Mt. Adams facing west - toward west end (duh) cincinnati 360 - from the Kroger building (pretty lousey)
January 18, 200619 yr Awesome vantage points....I would love to be able to reach the tops of many bldgs. downtown......in particular the old Convergy's Tower. From the top of Carew you can see a patio of sorts about 20 stories or so up...near the top of the bldg. If anyone has information please inform me :-D
January 18, 200619 yr Posted by: OTRFAN Insert Quote VERY HIGH Oh, you must work in MIS then. I love the corner conference room that looks off to the west. I've spent many meetings there just stairing out the windows.
January 18, 200619 yr ah yes, you have me. 17A is great "sometimes i sits and works, sometimes i just sits" (it's my boss's job to figure out the difference) hey "nati", there is a deli on about the 15th floor of the URS building on 7th. It has an outdoor patio actually, it faces 8th & vine mostly. There may be some unique angles there.
January 19, 200619 yr finally - a decent panoramic of the central biz district from the kroger building. there is still some window reflection, but about as good as I can figure how to do it for now... "bombaclatt" :? 8-)
