As I progressed west on Ashbury Ave, Gentrification is beginning (spillover from CWRU?) (is this the magnolia-wade park historic district ?)

West of E.118th, the biggest residential gentrification that I'm currently seeing in cleveland; numerous homes in this area (south of Orville), were being renovated... the busiest part was the south side of Ashbury, at least 4-5 rehabs were going on as I passed !  :-o

These houses were great candidates, they're quite large, and similar to frat houses.

A before... (also right next to a recently renovated apt. building - named university view - on the corner of 115th and ashbury)

Again, some of the finest quality materials ever to have gone into..or ever will go into homes.  If new stock had to stand the tests of abuse some of these have, they would not be standing at all. Somehow, someway...someday, my ship comes in and I swear I will buy an entire block of these homes, renovate them with new greener features... and create an eco-village...then target market worldwide to those who share in the vision.

I love glenville picture threads! Wish there were more!

quite a mix in this thread. shabby is ok, but abandoned is just heartbreaking. glad to hear of and to see the rehab action!!
