Some of the best features of videos like this are the ambient sounds--snippets of conversation, birds, water fountains, music, sirens, church bells, even the din of traffic. http://www.mainstreetpainesville.org/

I was told that verbally by one of the caretakers who gave me a tour of the tunnels back in the 1980s---just a fact that I had never verified. So thanks for your response 10 yrs later! I just looked it up as well and got this interesting tidbit: "The Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument...finally opened on July 4, 1894, and it continues to be free for the public to visit. In its interior, a series of marble tablets list the names of brave residents that served.
