Not the best quality video but if you skip to 3:30 it does get better. Looks like a parent took the camera at that point. Cool video though.

Tunnels under the soldiers and sailors monument.

where was that shot?

Underneath the Soldiers and Sailors Monument.

lately I've become obsessed with youtube walking tours of cities (notably Toronto and some New York) and have been disappointed in the quality of what was available about Cleveland, but finally one that's excellent IMO--

@eastvillagedonalso some great walking tours of Buenos Aires and Mexico City.

^thanks, I'll have to check those out. so far I've "traveled" domestically 🙂. Some of the best features of videos like this are the ambient sounds--snippets of conversation, birds, water fountains, music, sirens, church bells, even the din of traffic.

More great walking videos of Cleveland.  Beginning at 9:30, some great shots of the Arcade. I haven't looked at everything on this guy's channel, but looks promising

The Soldiers & Sailors Monument was built in 1894.

I was told that verbally by one of the caretakers who gave me a tour of the tunnels back in the 1980s---just a fact that I had never verified. So thanks for your response 10 yrs later!  I just looked it up as well and got this interesting tidbit:

"The Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument...finally opened on July 4, 1894, and it continues to be free for the public to visit. In its interior, a series of marble tablets list the names of brave residents that served. It was eventually discovered that the names of 140 black soldiers were omitted, an act which was corrected in 2013."

am I the only one who watches these walking videos? Here's one livestreaming--maybe almost done at 48 minutes in--from Cleve. State through Public Square and beyond. C'mon, there are only 9 people watching! lol

Never heard of it. I've watched the NYC and Toronto walking videos and got bored after about 5-10 minutes.
