I am unable to use the search function. http://www.urbanohio.com/forum2/index.php?action=search2

After inputting the desired search term, A message returns stating

" An Error Has Occurred! Unable to access the search daemon"

 

I have also tried using the advanced search http://www.urbanohio.com/forum2/index.php?action=search;advanced;search=tremont;search=tremont

and receive the same error message.

 

I've used the search in the past and this is the first time that I've had trouble with it (at least since the forum software upgrade in early 2011).

 

Here's my user agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:7.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/7.0.1

Try this. The search on here never finds what I'm looking for anyway.

This issue is happening due to Sphinx not automatically starting after we had to restart the server.  I've reverted back to the slower more server intensive standard search for the time being.

I wanted to help a new member, by posting some reference threads, but the search feature has been disabled.

 

What's going on?
