Loring Park is downtown neighborhoods on the SW side of Downtown. I had only passed through the haphazard stretch of Nicollet (punctuated with ugly parking lots) and today was the first time exploring this stately and dense neighborhood. Aside from the one stripmall I don't have much to complain about. The park itself is quite nice too I must say.

Cincinnati could really use some of that infill and new residential construction in the West End.

Great captures of the Loring Park neighborhood. However, I'm surprised you didn't capture the Spoonbridge & Cherry, any of the nearby greenways, or the large mansions that surround the park.

Wow @ Super America.  Haven't see that in years!

^Very surprising. We have dozens of Super America locations in Cincinnati.

Solid-looking neighborhood, with an interesting variety of building forms. I like that.

Maybe I haven't even noticed but all I see are Speedways.

They even have Cub Foods up here: I thought they bit the dust, but they're going strong up here.

^^^^^I think you're talking about Lowry Hill next door: I didn't cross the highway, but I should make it there sometime soon. I'm still trying to get pics off of my moribund notebook for another Downtown tour.

Cub Foods is actually owned by Supervalu, based in Minneapolis, which used to own Bigg's.
