Great pics!  I spent a semester studying at the Insitute of International Relations at Warsaw Univerisity.  If I would have seen your pics before, I would have made sure that I took a trip up to visit Gdansk  :-D.  Unfortunately so much of Warsaw was destroyed in the war and everything that was built afterwards all looks fairly modern today - other than the small Old Town section which was rebuilt to look like it originally did.  I did get to spend some time in Krakow which still has all of its original builiding is was one of my favorite cities in Europe.  A lot of the bulidings there look similar to the ones in Gdansk.

thanks mako, very beautiful shots. wow -- that really seem like the correct way to treat a waterfront. some of the buildings along there remind me of amsterdam.

not to mention we get to see the famous dockyards that sparked the end of the cold war.

gdansk looks like a fine intact city with a wealth of architectural treasures.

Very beautiful! It like a fairy tale.

I have been asking for Parma pics and info for a long time, but none of those Clevelanders ever seem interested in sharing much. :-)

Beautiful historic city!
