112-114 E. Fourteenth Street; 1401, 1404, 1412, 1414, and 1418 Walnut Street,  Cincinnati, Ohio

"Walnut Square is in the heart of revitalizing Over-the-Rhine, a neighborhood with a thriving arts scene, an entertainment district, and the country’s largest collection of historic Italianate architecture. The landmark Music Hall, Memorial Hall, Ensemble Theatre, School for the Creative & Performing Arts, Know Theatre, Enjoy the Arts advocacy organization, and numerous art, furniture, and photography galleries all are located within a few blocks of Walnut Square. Locally owned venues offer a range of dining and nightlife options, including the jazz-and-blues haven Mr. Pitiful’s, the eclectic Kaldi’s coffeehouse, and the laid-back Westminster’s Billiards. The streets of Over-the-Rhine are lined with graceful architecture featuring bracketed cornices, elaborate stone and brick detailing, arched windows, and decorative entrances. Many buildings in the neighborhood are currently or recently have undergone renovations for both apartments and condominiums. The recent arrival of the Art Academy of Cincinnati to its newly rehabilitated campus at 12th and Jackson streets has created a major new landmark for the neighborhood."

Sounds like great news, but I think someone wrote a lot of negative comments about this company's business practices in another thread somewhere. They had sold them more sq. feet than they got or something.

What am I saying? It is great news! Is it somehow documented that OTR has the largest collection of Italianate architecture, I see how that could easily be true, but how could you claim that?

^Man are you a free-thinking poster or what! ;) Yes, there was some mis-haps with Mark's place on 6th.

Anyway... I am glad to see a developer attacking the downtown market so much (not that wrong-doing is ok though). ;)

I can't tell by the info provided, is this a finished project or are they just getting it together. It sounds like these apartments are geared toward the Art Academy folks. I would love to know how the Art Academy is doing down there. If it's spuring new housing, great.

I just realized this is the same company that is doing Parker Flats and they haven't even start that. I would like to see some dirt pushing on that project.

Looks like the old "Grosvenor Square" buildings. I think, based on previous visits to Middle Earth's site, that at least two of these buildings were already remodeled a few years back. I know at least one person who lives in them already. So not all of these will be newly remodeled, but it's still really good news.

Yes, this is the same co. . I know two people that are buying condos in the Parker Flats. One is buying an "extra" one for investment reasons. She told me that they were looking at December, but the agent said realistically March of next year.

Yes, I think that most of these are going under a rehab, but like Kendall said, there are probably a few that are done already.

The new Art Academy is looking REALLY NICE!!! They have some new modern sign-age that looks great in contrast to the old historical buildings surrounding the area!

Actually, there was a link that I found that shows a ton of extra condos that are going to be going up, or that are in the plans for Uptown, Downtown, and OTR. I'm pumped up!!! I'll post maybe today or tomorrow.

The "Walnut Corridor", or "Walnut Square" project was a project from a few years back.  I believe that all of the units are long since finished.

I'm pretty sure at least the 112-14 E. Fourteenth are from the Grosvenor Square group, which except for a model unit or two have not been rehabbed.
