January 2, 201213 yr Embassy Row and Shaw are gems. "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
January 2, 201213 yr What are those cylindrical, decaying concrete structures about halfway down? Also, are any of these blacked out for anyone else? About 20% of them are for me and it changes each time I reload.
January 3, 201213 yr Ink...the past two days you posted pics from two of the three cities in the United States which I believe are the most urban AND liveable (as well as beautiful)....the third is San Fran. Would love to live in any of the three if I were in a position to move, but Boston would be number one 'cause I need seasons, which San Fran does not have, and DC, while it has four seasons, is just murder in the summer.
January 3, 201213 yr What's with the three doors that open up into nothing? Why not just put in a nice openable window?
January 3, 201213 yr Also, are any of these blacked out for anyone else? About 20% of them are for me and it changes each time I reload. It was time for a reboot on my computer. A-OK.
January 5, 201213 yr Also, are any of these blacked out for anyone else? About 20% of them are for me and it changes each time I reload. It was time for a reboot on my computer. A-OK. That's odd. I've only seen black images appear when I've tried to load a thread in a basement, subway station or something on a weak connection using a phone. ------------- Great photos! The 2nd and 4th photos are some of my favorite infill in the city.
January 5, 201213 yr ^Firefox has been through so many updates recently that it's hard to pin down certain errors.
January 9, 201213 yr Much to my surprise, I can place most of these pictures! I miss DC...great shots Ink!
January 9, 201213 yr Beautiful photo set! I first visited Washington in 1963 on a day trip from Dover, Delaware, and my last visit was in Winter, 1991 during a layover en route to Florida on Amtrak . Aside from one trip in the early sixties, I don't think I ever ventured beyond Union Station, the Capitol, Smithsonian, and other attractions in that immediate area. Thanks for sharing the very pleasant-looking parts of the city where everyday people live and work.
January 13, 201213 yr Wow, looks like you got right to work once you arrived. I appreciate the visual pun: a dead end that dead ends into a cemetery. I couldn't have resisted either. :D
