Posted January 15, 201213 yr I moved to Philly in June 2011 to work for the architecture/urban planning/urban design firm WRT. After a brief stay in Northern Liberties, I now live in Center City, about 3 blocks from Fitler Square and 7 blocks from Rittenhouse Square. These photos were taken from April 2011 (when I was in town for an interview) to the end of December 2011. They were all taken with my iPhone. January 15, 201213 yr I see one photo of Over-the-Rhine magically transported to Philadelphia! "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
January 23, 201213 yr Great photos. I lived in Philly for a couple years, and if/when I ever get chased out of Cincinnati by a pitchfork-weilding mob and decide to move back to the east coast, Philly would probably be at the top of my list of cities to move to.
January 23, 201213 yr Nice! Need to come up there and see the city soon. Get in touch with me! You have a couch to sleep on if you do. :)
January 23, 201213 yr Excellent tour. In the mid-1960s while stationed at Dover AFB, just a couple of hours south, I chose Philadelphia for many of my weekend getaways, especially when winter dulled the appeal of southern Delaware beaches. I could find photography and darkroom supplies there that I would have had to order through a drug store in Dover, and would have had to wait for. I spent a lot of time in the Art Museum. That city is saturated in history and historic character.
January 23, 201213 yr Ah , good ole Philly , I love there narrow streets and bricked lined streets....
