February 20, 201213 yr Good stuff! I really think the mentality here in Youngstown needs to change, in the suburbs that is. Marketing really would help Youngstown, but I think this is an Ohio problem. I can only imagine how much better off Cleveland and Cincinnati would be if they marketed themselves better.
February 21, 201213 yr Great story. Sounds like they have all the right ideas. I'm glad they're talking about drawing people from outside the area too. Many would be surprised at how big it is. The skyline is retro with some iconic features, luxurious for a city this size. There's your branding.

In the past year, a few new restaurants have opened with V2 and Roberto's, both Italian joints right across the street from each other and both are doing very well! The apartments in the Erie Terminal are exciting as well! The apartments in the Realty Building are sold out after they decreased the rent to a more manageable $1,000-1,200/month.
