A blog I like, The Daily Undertaker, has a "series" called Making Cemeteries Relevant.

As cemeteries are an important part of our communities & society, I thought I'd share some links to the articles.

Architect Christopher Alexander advocates small cemetaries in towns, that people pass on a daily basis, rather than great big sprawling ones on the edge of town that hardly anyone visits.

I'm guessing there is a price/size point dictating minimum workable size.
