Posted March 4, 201213 yr First of all, I don't even know if I'm going to be able to find an apartment in OTR, because apparently supply is low and demand is high right now. But I'm moving to Cincy over the summer and I'd like to be in OTR if possible. I was just wondering what the best gym options are--the YMCA on Central Parkway, maybe? A gym downtown? If you have any anecdotes/experiences/advice you'd like to share, that would be amazing. Thanks!
March 5, 201213 yr here's a gym at 7th and Vine: http://www.snapfitness.com/cincinnati/club and some help finding an apartment: http://overtherhine.wordpress.com/available-properties/ welcome to cincinnati

March 5, 201213 yr ^^All solid options. The YMCA is a bit more full-service than one might expect and offers towel service, sauna and steam rooms, etc. Also, if you don't mind a quick drive, Urban Active has locations just across the river in KY and in Hyde Park as well. You might also consider UC's gym which is about as state of the art and modern as you can get, includes parking and is about a 5 minute drive from OTR.
March 5, 201213 yr No one mentioned Lord's Gym!!! :P That's a joke (it's a social service agency gym) Also, if you can't find anything in OTR, This Summer brand new apartments are supposed to open at 4th and Race in Downtown. Called the Reserve at Fourth & Race.

March 5, 201213 yr It would be nice if one of these gyms offered child-care. Has anyone used the gym at the YWCA?
March 5, 201213 yr Urban Active in Bellevue is great and is only a few minutes away. There are lots of machines and free weights, the hours are good, it has a lap pool and a sauna, child-care, and a great view of downtown. The downside is you'd have to drive there; it's less than 5 minutes away, but if you're moving to OTR to ditch your car, this one isn't an option. http://www.urbanactive.com/locations/bellevue-kentucky/
March 5, 201213 yr Does the community center near Findlay Market have a gym? I don't know. the rec center on linn does.
March 5, 201213 yr ^the hours for the rec centers are very limited. Don't work to good for people who have daytime jobs.

It's a 5 minute drive from OTR via 71 & 471.
March 12, 201213 yr The Workout@ Adams Landing - I've never been to this small gym but it's a short drive from OTR/Pendleton. http://www.theworkoutfitness.com/ "It's just fate, as usual, keeping its bargain and screwing us in the fine print..." - John Crichton
November 15, 20177 yr The historic YMCA on Central Parkway was given a complete restoration and re-opened about a year ago with all new equipment. http://www.myy.org/Downtown
February 4, 20187 yr Planet Fitness is Newport is a close one. $10 a month! Planet Fitness isn't a real gym. I just came in here to point out that the OP wins for best username.
