Beautiful.  Now lets get those poor little forlorn apartment buildings looking good as well.  So many have been wiped out, it's time to save a few.

Awesome thread, made me feel proud of this city and it's crown jewel of a neighborhood.

Great job! Thanks for sharing!

Very nice.  'Momentum' just doesn't feel sufficient as the proper term to describe what is going on down the hill.

Hey!  Can't say I know a whole lot about Cleveland, but this set of photos sure makes me wanna learn--nice job. (now go out and get some more!)

Thanks for the thread, UC looks great.

One thing I notice, the city has to figure out a way to do something with the power lines in the city.  Look at the L'Albetros picture, now imagine that same pic without the power lines.

The good news, the area around Uptown does have burried utilites and it looks great!

Great set! A few of those old buildings need a cleaning and/or new paint. But their architecture is awesome.

I recently discovered L'Albatros has Palm beer on tap, among my personal favorites.  Discovered it while living in Holland in the 90's.  Searched high and low across the country for it when I returned to the US, only to have finally discovered in in NYC about 3 years ago.  It spread around NYC, then I started finding it in more mainstream places, aside from trendy restaurants  (a Fox & Hound in Philly for example).  Excited to have it right here in NE Ohio!

Heavens to Betsy.

Thanks for the kind words, especially from  the Columbus and Cincy guys.

I'm kind of burned out on making photo threads. Although I have an idea or two.

I did make several but I cant think of which ones still "exist", since I've moved my Photobucket folders around, I mean albums.  "A New Day in Cleveland" recently done by jmicha and any of MayDay's surpass anything I could do.

By the way, I was at the W. 9th St Constantino's this morning and asked when the Uptown store would open. They said April 26. Maybe that's already out there but it was the first time that I had heard an actual date.

Great thread and some fantastic shots! Hope you don't mind - I added Cleveland to the thread title so people know where the photos are from.

I'll respectfully disagree with you - you're a talented photographer, and it'd be great to see more. :-)

Really enjoyed this thread.  I love seeing non-downtown Cleveland (not hating on downtown, just feel like I've seen a million pics of it).  Great job!

Same words that came to mind (crown jewel) as I was scrolling down looking at these pics. Great job!

No problemo MayDay, thanks
