Yeah yeah, a view that's going to be changing (the T-shirt shops will need to update their inventory):

  • How's this for a great photo? Love that density! Love the canyon effect! Love those cranes!

  • I really like this tweet photo by Joey Cassel.  The height-of-eye is just right to provide a comprehensive perspective.  Most photos shot from the west are taken from a height that makes downtown look

I was watching the trailer for the TV series ‘Gotham’ and thought I recognized the big 3 Cleveland skyscrapers in the fictional Gotham skyline! They appear on the left side.

In a WSJ article the director states the skyline was made using buildings all over the world that have a gothic aesthetic to them.

We need this level of density from West 65th to East 105th (or at least East 55th)...

Any history buffs know exactly what corner of Lorain and W 47th the original Fisher Foods stood? The townhomes being developed currently on the northeast corner exposed some of a past structure's basement/foundation. I'm wondering if this was the location. https://case.edu/ech/articles/f/fisher-foods-inc

4623 Lorain was the physical address.

Remember: It's the Year of the Snake

Thanks @Dougal So the southeast corner then. Where that wedge shaped lot is next to current day Lorain furniture, it seems. That had been on my list to figure out for a while. But now I have to know what these relics on the northeast corner are!

Fisher's second store, 2626 Lorain, is still standing - a dental office now.

That’s a beautiful shot of Public Square

@MayDay  Beautiful photos.  Were these shot with your Sony A7 mirrorless?   Best birthday wishes.

Request to our UO drone operators, can someone snap an aerial pic of the steel mills south of I490?  I counted at least half a dozen cranes at at least 3 different sites while driving past there today.  Not sure what they are all there for but it looked really cool.

It looks like one in most shots, especially in the summer when the sun sets across it.

Inland sea!

These "million dollar" lake views are awesome, and can be had for fairly cheap in CLE.

Yep! So I used to work in Key Tower overlooking the lake. A new co-worker came in one day and was just mesmerized at the view. She asked, "what body of water is that?"

She was from Strongsville [facepalm emoji]

A lot of folks visiting Cleveland/Northern Ohio for the first time are surprised at how big the lake is.

Indeed. I sure as heck was when I first saw the lake in 1990. Seems that "lake" is probably not the best descriptor.
