I was pretty ticked off to read this. I'm pretty sure I posted this on UO when it was originally published. I really hope the owner was able to get past this counterproductive, backwards b.s.
April 22, 201213 yr ^Anyone have any legal residential uses that would really piss off the neighbors, lol
April 23, 201213 yr I can't read the article at work. However, I met with someone in the mayor's office last month and they were complaining that when they started working for the mayor, the bldg dept didn't even have computers. There was a guy at the counter with a huge book with all the records they called 'the bible'.
April 23, 201213 yr Cleveland's Building Department is horribly understaffed and outdated. They've been wanting to update their technology for years, going back to when I first started covering Cleveland for Sun in 2005 (and probably long before that). All of the building department inspectors, and those working out of the CDCs, were all very competent but over-worked people.
